5. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your F01 Fingerprint Attendance Machine:

  1. Marking: Make 3 marks on the wall where you intend to mount the device.
  2. Drilling: Punch 3 holes at the marked locations.
  3. Insert Expansion Plugs: Insert the expansion plugs into the drilled holes.
  4. Attach Mounting Bracket: Align the fixing bracket with the holes and screw the expansion screws into the expansion plugs through the three holes of the fixing bracket.
  5. Mount Device: Hang the attendance machine onto the expansion screw.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Key Configuration and Input Method Description

  • ESC: Cancel or exit current settings.
  • MENU: Enter menu management (delete key after entering menu).
  • OK: Confirm the current settings.
  • Grid Key (bottom left): Switching Input Method (e.g., Pinyin, T9).
  • Up/Down Arrow Keys: Move the cursor up/down.
  • Numeric Keys (0-9): Input numbers and 26 English letters.

6.2. Employee Registration

  1. Press the MENU button to enter the main menu.
  2. Use the arrow keys to select "Employee Management", then press OK.
  3. Select "Enroll" and press OK.
  4. Worker Number (ID): The system will default to the next available ID (e.g., 0001). The worker number can be set up to 1000.
  5. Name: Move the cursor to "Name", press OK. Use the numeric keys to enter the name. Press the grid key to switch input methods (e.g., Pinyin). Use arrow keys to select the correct Pinyin character, then press OK.
  6. Register Fingerprint: Move the cursor to "Finger", press OK. Place the same finger on the fingerprint collector three times for registration. The device will prompt "Thank you" upon successful registration.
  7. Password: (Optional) Move the cursor to "Password", press OK. Enter a password (up to 6 digits).
  8. Department: Move the cursor to "Dept.", press OK to select the department from the list.
  9. Authority: Move the cursor to "Authority", press OK to select the jurisdiction from the list.
  10. After completing all required settings, press ESC to save and exit.

6.3. Shift Setting

  1. Press MENU to enter the main menu.
  2. Select "Attendance Setting", then "Shift Setting".
  3. Select the desired shift (e.g., Shift 1, up to 10 shifts can be set).
  4. Press OK to enter the shift modification interface. Use arrow keys to select the period to be modified (e.g., IN time, OUT time, Overtime).
  5. Press OK to confirm the work time and off time.
  6. Press OK to confirm and save.
  7. Press ESC to return to the superior menu after editing.

Example: For a company with morning check-in at 08:00 and afternoon check-out at 18:00, requiring attendance twice a day, the shift setting would be: Time 1: 08:00-18:00, Time 2: 0:00-0:00, Overtime: 0:00-0:00. (The default is Shift 1).

6.4. Department Setting

  1. Press MENU to enter the main menu.
  2. Select "Attendance Setting", then "Department Settings".
  3. Press OK to enter the modification department interface.
  4. Use the digital key to enter the name of the department.
  5. Press OK to save.

6.5. Attendance Rules (If Using Default Rules, No Changes Needed)

Press MENU to enter the main menu, then select "Attendance Settings". Here you can configure:

  • Company information
  • Shift arrangement
  • Ringing time
  • Allowable late arrival time
  • Early departure time
  • Repeated invalid attendance time

Note: If the shift is complex or the department schedule cannot meet your demand, it is recommended to download an attendance setting form to set the shift and schedule for employees.

6.6. Quick Inquiry of Staff Attendance Records

  • ID Query: Navigate to Menu > Records Query > ID Query > Browse/Download. Enter the employee ID and press OK to confirm.
  • Time Query: Navigate to Menu > Log Query > Records Query > Time Query > Browse/Download.

6.7. Download and View Attendance Reports

The F01 allows you to download attendance data directly to a USB flash drive without needing network connectivity or additional software.

  1. Insert a USB disk into the machine's USB slot.
  2. Press MENU to enter the main menu, then select "Attendance".
  3. Press OK to select the desired report type (e.g., Download All Report, Download Individual Report, Download Employee Form, Upload Employee Data, Download Employee Data).
  4. Press OK to enter the report download interface, set the time period, and press OK to download.

Warm Tip: If the attendance machine cannot recognize your U disk, please first convert the U disk into FAT32 format, and then operate.
