4. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your car stereo, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Screen Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could scratch the touchscreen.
  • Unit Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the unit with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Ensure no liquids enter the ports or openings.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the unit to extreme heat or cold for prolonged periods.
  • Cable Management: Ensure all cables are securely connected and not pinched or strained, which can lead to damage.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Naifay car stereo, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Memory Function After Power Off:
This usually indicates incorrect wiring. Ensure the Yellow Wire (B+) is connected to the battery's constant positive terminal and the Red Wire (ACC) is connected to the ignition switch (ACC line). If these are reversed, the unit will lose memory when the car is turned off.
  • No Sound / Unit Not Functioning in 24V Trucks:
The working voltage of this car stereo is 12V. It is not compatible with 24V systems found in large trucks. Using it with a voltage higher than 16V can result in no sound or damage to the unit.
  • Functions Disabled in Reverse Mode:
When the car is in reverse mode and the rear view camera is active, other functions such as calls, music in Bluetooth mode, or phone mirror link are temporarily disabled to prioritize safety and the camera display. This is normal operation.
  • Custom Boot Screen Image Not Displaying:
Ensure the image format is JPG and the resolution is 800x480 pixels. Also, verify that the image is placed inside a folder named "LOGO" on your USB disk.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues:
If you have trouble connecting via Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your phone and the car stereo. Try deleting previous pairings and re-pairing the devices. You only need to operate on the mobile phone to connect Bluetooth, not necessarily open the Bluetooth setting interface on the car stereo.

7. User Tips

  • For optimal performance with CarPlay or Android Auto, always use the original USB data cable provided with your smartphone.
  • When connecting Bluetooth, you typically do not need to navigate to the Bluetooth settings on the car stereo; simply initiate pairing from your mobile phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • If you experience any sound distortion at maximum volume, consider connecting an external amplifier and/or subwoofer using the dedicated 2V outputs.
  • To ensure the stereo retains its settings and memory, double-check that the yellow (B+) and red (ACC) power wires are connected correctly during installation.
