This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and troubleshooting of your Hippcron 7-inch Car MP5 Player. This universal multimedia player features a high-definition touch screen, wired CarPlay, Android Auto, Mirror Link functionality, Bluetooth connectivity, FM radio, and support for various audio and video formats via USB and SD cards. It is designed for in-dash placement in 12V vehicle power supply systems.

2. Safety Information and Warnings
Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use. It is highly recommended to have the machine professionally installed by a certified car audio professional. If you choose to install it yourself, follow all steps precisely.
- Power Supply: This machine is suitable for 12V vehicle power supply systems. The ground wire must be properly grounded. Do not install in 24V vehicles, as this will damage the unit.
- Wiring: Ensure speaker lines are carefully checked before installation. Any grounding or touching of speaker wires, or short circuits between positive and negative power supply terminals, will damage the unit. Speaker wires must not touch each other or the power supply wire.
- Fuse: Do not repair the power fuse without professional guidance. Improper fuse use can cause damage or fire.
- Driving Safety: To avoid violating traffic rules and ensure safety, drivers should not watch videos while driving or operating the machine.
- Environment: Do not place this product in a humid environment or expose it to water to prevent electric shock or other damage.
- Protective Film: Retaining the plastic film on the back of the unit will affect heat dissipation performance. Please remove the protective film before installation.
Note: To prevent burning the machine, do not turn on the power until the power cord is properly connected!

3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Pre-Installation Test
Before full installation, perform a quick test to confirm the device is functioning correctly.
- Combine the red and yellow wires of the car stereo and connect them to the positive pole of a 12V battery.
- Connect the black wire to the negative pole of the battery.
- After approximately 2 seconds, check if the car stereo screen lights up. If it does, the unit is functioning properly.

3.2 Rear View Camera Test (Optional)
If you have an optional rear view camera, test its functionality before full installation.
- Perform the car stereo test (Step 1 above).
- Connect the pink wire from the car stereo to the top red wire of the rear view camera.
- Combine the middle red wire and the bottom red wire of the rear view camera and connect them to the positive pole of the battery (where the car stereo's red and yellow wires are connected).
- Connect the black wire of the rear view camera to the negative pole of the battery (where the car stereo's black wire is connected).
- If the camera lights up and the car stereo displays the reverse image, the camera is functioning correctly.

3.3 Machine Installation
This car stereo is a universal size, suitable for most cars. However, specific vehicle models may require additional accessories for proper fit and function. Consider the following methods and potential accessories:
- Accessories: You may need a Double DIN dash kit, a wire harness (to connect car wiring to stereo wiring), and an antenna adapter specific to your car's year, make, and model.
- Frame Modification: In some cases, milling the original frame of your car might be necessary.
Common installation methods include screw fixed installation, card position fixed installation, and special frame fixed installation.

3.4 Wiring Diagram Reference

Important: If the color of cables is not exactly the same as pictured, please refer to the paper manual provided with the product for accurate wiring instructions.
3.5 Rear View Camera Wiring (Optional)
When using the rear view reversing function, the system will automatically disconnect mobile phone links (calls, music, mirroring) in BT mode. This is normal behavior.
Note: Whether you use a reversing camera or not, you must connect the reversing cable. Otherwise, your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals will be affected!
- Connect the reversing trigger line (Back A6) to the reversing line in the power harness.
- Connect the red wire of the camera power cable to the positive pole of the reverse light cable.
- Connect the camera's power cable ground to GND.
- Connect the camera's video output to the monitor's video input.
After installation, start the engine and put the car into reverse gear. Check if the monitor automatically displays the rear view image. If not, recheck the installation.
Adjust the camera angle to ensure the rear bumper is clearly visible, ideally occupying 5% of the screen image. Then, lock the lens bracket screws.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 General Functions
The unit features an HD Touch Screen and supports various multimedia functions.
- Media Playback: Supports audio formats like MP3/WMA/WAV/FLAC/OGG/APE and video formats including RM/RMVB/DVD(VOB)/VC-D(DAT)/MP1/MP2/DIVX/XV1D/MP4/H263/H264/FLV/3GP/SWF/AVI/ASF/MJPEG.
- FM Radio: Range 87.5 MHZ-108.00 MHz (Europe).
- USB 2.0 Port: For media playback and phone charging.
- Other Features: Remote Control, Power-off auto-memory store (radio/USB mode), Clock, Mute, Bass & Treble adjustment, L&R channel stabilizer, Video input, Phone link (optional).

4.3 Radio Operation
To enter radio mode, click the "FM/Radio icon" on the menu.
- Band Selection: Press "FM" to switch to radio mode, then "FM1" to select different bands (FM1/2/3).
- Browse/Auto Memory (AS/PS): Press "AS/PS" to browse saved stations (each for 10 seconds). Press again to stop on a desired station. Hold "AS/PS" for 3 seconds to automatically search and store stations, prioritizing strong signals.
- Manual Search: Use the ◀︎ or ▶︎ buttons to manually adjust the radio frequency.
- Auto Search: Use the ◀︎ or ▶︎ buttons to automatically search for radio frequencies.
4.4 USB/TF Playback
Insert a USB flash drive or TF card to play videos and music. The USB interface also supports charging for your phone.
4.5 Audio/Video Input
Click the application icon to enter the interface, then select the audio or video file to play. Supported formats include AVI, MKV, QT, MPG, ASF, FLV, RMVB, MP3, WMA, ACC, WAVE, FLAC, APE, OGG, MP4 for audio/video, and BMP/GIF/JPG/PNG for images.
4.6 Steering Wheel Control Learning
To program steering wheel controls:
- Press any button on your steering wheel. The interface will prompt for a long press on the steering wheel button.
- Click on the screen to learn the docking function.
- Click the corresponding function button on the steering wheel and repeat steps 1-3 for all desired controls.
Conditions: This function requires an original steering wheel for non-bus control, and the steering wheel key must use a voltage input control method.

4.7 Bluetooth (BT) Function
To connect via Bluetooth:
- Click the settings icon, then the BT icon to enter the BT connection page.
- Search for the device name (e.g., "CAR***") on your phone.
- Confirm the match and connect. Default PINs are "0000", "1234", or "88888888".
Call Function:
- Input phone numbers on the interface. Use the backspace icon to delete incorrect digits.
- Press the dial icon to make a call, and the hang-up icon to end a call.
Telephone Directory:
- Enter the phone book interface and click "Sync Contact" to synchronize.
- Use the search button to find contacts by entering English letters.
BT Music Playback:
- Connect to a BT phone for playback, pause, and track navigation.
- Ensure music is playing on your phone's music app first.
4.8 AUX Input
The AUX line transmits audio to the original car player. (Supported by some models only).
4.9 Mirrorlink (Optional)
Click the "Mirrorlink Icon" to connect your phone to the MP5 player.
- Display: The phone's display mode must be set to "landscape" for full-screen display on the car stereo.
- Audio: Bluetooth must be connected to synchronize audio from the phone to the car stereo.
- Screen Sync: If the phone screen turns off, the car stereo display will also turn off.
Android Mirror Link (Wired):
Connect via USB data cable. You will be prompted to install an APP. After installation, plug the cable again to enter screen mirroring mode. Both screens can be operated. Audio requires Bluetooth connection.

iPhone Mirror Link (Wired):
Connect via USB data cable and confirm authorization. Note that some high-configuration iPhones may not be suitable for this function, and you cannot control your iPhone from the car stereo in this mode.

Wireless Mirror Link: For both Android and iPhone (supported by some models), search for the device wirelessly on your mobile phone and connect.
4.10 Apple CarPlay (Wired & Wireless) (Optional)

- Wired Connection: Connect the USB data cable to automatically enter the CarPlay interface.
- Wireless Connection: Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone, then connect via Bluetooth. The CarPlay interface will automatically appear. The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so CarPlay will disconnect if Wi-Fi is turned off.

Refer to specific model support. This feature may not be supported in all countries and requires "Google Play" services to be available locally.
- Requirements: Android 6.0 or higher, "Android Auto" software installed from Google Play, and a valid data cable.
- Wired Connection: Connect the USB data cable to automatically enter the Android Auto interface.
- Wireless Connection: Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone, then connect via Bluetooth. The Android Auto interface will automatically appear. The signal is transmitted via Wi-Fi, so Android Auto will disconnect if Wi-Fi is turned off.

- Fuse Replacement: If the power fuse burns out, replace it with a fuse of the correct rating. If the issue persists, check DC wire connections.

6.1 Detailed Troubleshooting
- Car radio does not turn on, or turns off after prolonged use:
- Ensure red cable is connected to ignition-positive (ACC +12V), yellow cable to battery-positive (B+ 12V), and black cable to battery-negative (GND 12V). Only use in 12V vehicles.
- If still off, temporarily connect red and yellow cables together and attach to 12V-positive.
- Check if the fuse is blown.
- Car radio powers on but produces no sound, or sound cuts out:
- Speaker negative wires improperly grounded.
- Amplifier IC burned out due to short circuit.
- Check if speaker cables have a short circuit and are individually insulated.
- Test with another speaker to isolate the problem.
- Car radio's Bluetooth (BT) not working, or disconnects:
- Forget Device: Go to your phone's BT settings, select "CAR-MP5", and choose "Forget This Device".
- Re-pair: Turn on MP5's BT, scan for devices on your phone, select "CAR-MP5", and enter PIN (0000, 1234, or 88888888).
- Reset: If issues persist, try finding the "reset hole" on the front panel and perform a reset. Alternatively, disconnect the power connector for a few minutes and replug.
- Car radio's microphone not working, phone call from other side unclear:
- Check BT volume setting.
- Check if the microphone is too far (dashboard too low) to pick up your voice.
- Car radio cannot read USB flash disk or SD/TF card:
- Confirm capacity (reads up to 32GB normally).
- Try other flash disks with fewer songs.
- Ensure SD/TF card is inserted correctly.
- Car radio's remote control does not work:
- Check if the remote has the correct battery installed.
- Reversing camera cannot work:
- Check if the pink cable is wired correctly with the reversing camera's controlling cable. If unsure, contact support.
- Car radio cannot save time or radio station setting:
- Check if the yellow cable is wired to your car's battery 12V+ (constant positive) to provide constant power for saving settings.
- Car radio noise problem:
- Noise, especially with an amplifier, can be due to interference. Ensure all cables are properly wrapped and not touching each other.
- Test with another speaker to confirm if the problem is with the radio or your car's system.
- Screen Mirroring Failure:
- Device Compatibility: Ensure your phone supports mirroring.
- Connection: Enable car's Wi-Fi/BT, activate phone's screen mirroring, and select "CAR-MP5".
- Restart: If no signal, restart both devices. Note that some phones may not be compatible.
