4. Setup Guide

4.1 Connecting Your Device

Before powering on, ensure all necessary cables are connected securely.

  1. HDMI Connection: Connect one end of the provided HD Cable to the HDMI port on the GTX Combo and the other end to an HDMI input on your TV.
  2. Antenna/Satellite Connection:
    • For Satellite TV: Connect your satellite dish cable to the LNB IN port.
    • For Terrestrial/Cable TV: Connect your antenna or cable TV signal to the ANT IN port.
  3. Ethernet Connection (Optional): For a stable internet connection, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the ETHERNET port on the GTX Combo. Alternatively, you can use Wi-Fi.
  4. Power Connection: Connect the power adapter to the DC 12V port on the GTX Combo, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
  5. CI Plus / CA Card Insertion (Optional):

    If you have a CI Plus module or a CA card for encrypted channels, insert them into the respective slots on the side of the device. Ensure correct orientation.

  6. SATA-HDD Installation (Optional):

    The GTX Combo is equipped with a SATA-HDD bracket. To install an SSD or HDD for recording and storage, open the device casing (refer to the full PDF manual for detailed instructions) and securely mount your drive into the bracket. Connect the SATA data and power cables.

4.2 Initial Power-On and Setup Wizard

  1. Turn on your TV and select the correct HDMI input source.
  2. Press the power button on the GTX Combo or the remote control.
  3. The device will boot up, and you will be guided through an initial setup wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to:
    • Select your preferred language.
    • Configure network settings (Wi-Fi or Ethernet). For Wi-Fi, select your network and enter the password.
    • Log in with your Google account (optional, but recommended for full Android app access).
    • Perform a channel scan for DVB-S/S2/S2X, DVB-T/T2/C/C2, ATSC-T, or ISDB-T, depending on your connection.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Android OS Navigation

The GTX Combo runs on Android 9.0, providing a familiar interface. Use the remote control to navigate through menus, launch applications, and adjust settings.

  • Home Screen: Access your installed apps, settings, and DVB functions.
  • Google Play Store: Download and install additional Android applications.
  • Settings: Customize display, sound, network, and other system preferences.

5.2 DVB Functions

Access the DVB interface from the home screen to manage your TV channels.

  • Channel Scan: If not done during initial setup, perform an automatic or manual scan to find available satellite, terrestrial, or cable channels.
  • EPG (Electronic Program Guide): View program schedules and set reminders.
  • Channel Management: Organize, favorite, lock, or delete channels.
  • CAM Protocol & CA Cards: For encrypted channels, ensure your CI Plus module and/or CA card are correctly inserted and configured according to your service provider's instructions.

5.3 Media Playback and PVR

  • Local Media: Play videos, music, and photos from connected USB drives or the internal SATA-HDD using the built-in media player or third-party apps.
  • Online Streaming: Access popular streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, and Google TV, or use the pre-installed GTPLAYER.
  • PVR (Personal Video Recorder): Record live TV programs to a connected USB storage device or the internal SATA-HDD. Consult the on-screen menu for recording options (instant record, scheduled record).

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Firmware Updates: The GTX Combo supports OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. Regularly check for system updates in the settings menu to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the device is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation openings.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to the device and a working power outlet.
  • No Signal/Black Screen:
    • Check HDMI cable connection to both the TV Box and TV.
    • Verify the TV is on the correct HDMI input source.
    • For DVB, check antenna/satellite cable connections and ensure a channel scan has been performed.
  • No Internet Connection:
    • For Wi-Fi, check your network password and router status.
    • For Ethernet, ensure the cable is properly connected to both the device and router.
  • Remote Control Not Responding: Check the batteries in the remote control and ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the TV Box.
