Setup Guide

1. Charging the Mouse

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the mouse and to a USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter. The mouse has a 500mAh battery.

2. Connecting the Mouse

The ATK Z1 mouse supports dual-mode connection: 2.4GHz Wireless and Wired (USB Type-C).

2.1. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

  1. Locate the 8K wireless receiver (dongle) in your package.
  2. Plug the 8K wireless receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Turn on the mouse using the power switch located on the bottom of the mouse.
  4. The mouse should automatically connect to the receiver. If not, refer to the troubleshooting section.

2.2. Wired Connection

Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the provided USB Type-C cable. The mouse will function as a wired mouse and charge simultaneously.

3. Driver Installation (ATK HUB Web Driver)

For full customization and optimal performance, it is recommended to install the ATK HUB Web Driver. This software allows you to adjust DPI settings, button assignments, polling rate, and other advanced features.

  • Visit the official ATK website (www.atk.pro) to download the latest ATK HUB Web Driver.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

4. System Requirements for 8K Polling Rate

To experience the full 8000Hz polling rate, ensure your computer meets the following minimum specifications:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7 9700K or above, or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or above
  • Display: Refresh rate above 240Hz
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX1080 or above, or AMD RX5700 or above
  • Memory: 16GB or more

Operating Instructions

Basic Functions

  • Left Click: Primary action.
  • Right Click: Secondary action/context menu.
  • Scroll Wheel: Scroll up/down, middle click. The F-Switch E10 Flagship scroll wheel provides precise control.
  • Side Buttons: Typically used for forward/back navigation in web browsers or customizable in gaming.
  • DPI Adjust Button: Cycle through preset DPI levels. Customize these levels using the ATK HUB software.

Advanced Features

  • DPI Adjustment: The mouse features a PAW3950/PAW3950Ultra flagship sensor.
    • PAW3950: DPI range 50-30000, overclockable to 36000 DPI.
    • PAW3950Ultra: DPI range 10-30000, overclockable to 42000 DPI.
    Adjust DPI through the ATK HUB software or using the dedicated DPI button.
  • Polling Rate: Supports Wired 8K and Wireless 8K polling rates for extreme speed response and low latency (average key press delay of 0.3993ms).
  • Customization: Use the ATK HUB Web Driver to remap buttons, create macros, adjust LOD (Lift-Off Distance), and fine-tune other performance settings.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse surface.
  • For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Do not allow liquids to enter the mouse.
  • The mouse features an "Ice Feeling Coating" which is anti-fouling and easy-to-clean.

Battery Care

  • The mouse is equipped with a 500mAh rechargeable battery.
  • To maximize battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently.
  • If the mouse will not be used for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and store it in a cool, dry place.
  • Battery life is obtained from laboratory tests at 1000Hz. Actual use time may vary due to personal usage patterns and environmental factors.

Foot Stickers

The mouse uses 100% Teflon foot stickers for smooth gliding. If the glide performance degrades over time, replacement foot stickers may be available from the manufacturer's website or authorized resellers.

Troubleshooting

Mouse not responding wirelessly:
  • Ensure the mouse is turned on.
  • Check if the 8K wireless receiver is securely plugged into a USB port.
  • Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port.
  • Ensure the mouse battery is charged.
  • If issues persist, try connecting the mouse via the USB Type-C cable to confirm basic functionality.
DPI or button settings not changing:
  • Make sure the ATK HUB Web Driver software is installed and running.
  • Ensure the mouse firmware is up to date. Check the ATK website for updates.
  • Apply changes within the software after making adjustments.
8K polling rate not working or experiencing lag:
  • Verify your computer meets the minimum system requirements for 8K polling rate (CPU, GPU, Display refresh rate, RAM).
  • Ensure no other high-bandwidth USB devices are interfering with the receiver.
  • Update your computer's USB drivers.
