3. Setup Guide
3.1. Parts Identification

Familiarize yourself with the remote controller's buttons and the receiver's components:
- Remote Controller: Screen, A/M (IRIS) key, Adjustment keys (left) "+", "-", Menu key, Record review key, A/M (FOCUS) key, Adjustment keys (right) "+", "-", Record key, Zoom lever.
- Receiver: Status lamp, ON/OFF switch, USB Type-C connector, Plug (Ø2.5mm), Clamp knob, Clamp, Battery compartment cover, REMOTE jack (Ø2.5mm stereo mini jack).
3.2. Battery Installation
The remote controller requires two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment cover on the receiver, insert the batteries according to the polarity markings, and close the cover.
3.3. Connecting to Camcorder
The AODELAN ZC-3 supports both wireless and wired connections.
3.3.1. Wireless Remote Control
Insert the plug of the receiver into your camcorder's REMOTE or LANC terminal. Ensure the receiver's ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.

3.3.2. Wired Control
Connect the ZC-3 remote controller directly to your camcorder's REMOTE or LANC terminal using the provided remote cable. Wired control can be used without batteries in the remote controller.


3.4. Compatibility
The AODELAN ZC-3 is compatible with Canon and Sony camcorders that feature a LANC or 2.5mm remote jack. Please refer to the detailed compatibility list below. Note that remote adjustment of FOCUS and IRIS may not be supported on all camcorder models. Always ensure your camcorder's firmware is updated to the latest version for optimal functionality.


Note: For Canon EOS C series, the remote control can be used to zoom in or out only when a compatible EF cinema lens is installed on the video camera.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Record Start/Stop
Press the dedicated Record key on the ZC-3 to start or stop recording on your camcorder from a distance.

4.2. Record Review
While in standby mode, press the Record Review key to play back the last recorded clip on the camcorder's screen. The camcorder will then return to standby mode.

4.3. Zoom Control
The ZC-3 features a pressure-sensitive zoom rocker switch for smooth zoom in/out (telephoto/wide-angle) control. The zoom speed can be adjusted to 3 different levels (Slow, Mid, Fast). You can also set the zoom lever rotation direction (Normal/Reverse).



4.4. Focus Adjustment
Toggle auto focus adjustment on/off using the FOCUS A/M key. When in manual focus mode, use the "+" button on the right to focus on distant subjects and the "-" button to focus on near subjects. Focus manual adjustment speed can be changed (Slow/Mid/Fast).


4.5. IRIS Adjustment
Toggle auto IRIS adjustment on/off using the IRIS A/M key. When in manual IRIS mode, press the "+" button on the left to open the IRIS (decrease the IRIS value) and the "-" button to close the IRIS (increase the IRIS value). IRIS manual adjustment speed can be changed (Slow/Fast).


4.6. OLED Screen Functions
The OLED screen provides access to additional settings:
- ZOOM DIRECT N, R: To change the rotation direction of the zoom lever.
- ZOOM SPEED 1, 2, 3: To change the zoom speed.
- IRIS SPEED 1, 2: To change the iris manual adjustment speed.
- FOCUS SPEED 1, 2, 3: To change the focus manual adjustment speed.
- SLEEP OFF, 10M, 1H, 4H: To set the auto-sleep of the remote control.
- KEY B.L. AUTO, ON, OFF: To control the key backlight of the Remote Controller.
- PAIR MODE Y: To set the Remote Controller to pair with the Receiver.
- RESET ALL Y: Restore factory settings.
4.7. Usage Scenarios
