6. Setup Guide
Follow these simple steps to set up your X5 Mini Camera:
- Download the App: Scan the QR code provided in the manual or search for "Ysx lite" in your mobile app store (Google Play Store for Android or Apple App Store for iOS) to download and install the application.
- Power On the Camera: Connect the camera to an external power source using the provided Micro USB cable. The camera does not have a built-in battery and requires continuous power.
- Add Device to App: Open the "Ysx lite" app on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to add your new camera. This typically involves connecting to the camera's local Wi-Fi hotspot first, then configuring it to connect to your home or office Wi-Fi network.

7. Operating Instructions
7.1 Remote Monitoring
Once the camera is successfully connected to your Wi-Fi network and added to the "Ysx lite" app, you can monitor it remotely from anywhere with an internet connection. Open the app to view live video feed, capture photos, or record video.

7.2 Recording Modes
The camera supports several recording modes, configurable via the app:
- 24-hour Continuous Recording: With a storage card inserted, the camera can automatically store video 24 hours a day without interruption when powered on.
- Alarm Video (Motion Detection): Recording starts when motion is detected. When motion detection is turned on, as long as the camera detects an abnormal picture, it will automatically record and capture.
- Timed Video Recording: You can set specific time periods for the camera to record, saving memory card space.

7.3 Loop Recording
The camera supports loop recording. When the memory card is full, the system will automatically overwrite the oldest recording files, ensuring continuous surveillance without manual deletion.

7.4 Direct Recording (Without Network)
In the absence of a Wi-Fi connection, you can still record directly by inserting a micro SD card into the camera. The camera will store recordings locally on the card.
7.5 Power Supply
The X5 Mini Camera does not have a built-in battery and requires a continuous external power input. It uses a universal Micro USB interface, allowing it to be powered by various sources:

9. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and body. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents that may damage the device.
- Storage: If not in use for an extended period, store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the 'Ysx lite' app for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Memory Card: Regularly back up important recordings from the micro SD card and format it periodically to maintain performance.
10. Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Connecting to Wi-Fi:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, as the camera may not support 5GHz networks.
- Check that the Wi-Fi password entered in the app is correct.
- Move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router to improve signal strength.
- Try resetting the camera using the reset key (refer to Figure 4.2 for location) and re-attempt the setup process.
- No Video Feed in App:
- Verify the camera is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi.
- Check your internet connection on your smartphone.
- Restart the app or the camera.
- Recording Issues:
- Ensure a micro SD card is properly inserted and has sufficient free space.
- Check the recording settings in the app (continuous, motion detection, timed).
- If loop recording is enabled, older files will be overwritten when the card is full.
- Poor Video Quality:
- Ensure adequate lighting in the monitored area.
- Clean the camera lens if it appears blurry.
- Check your network bandwidth, as low bandwidth can affect streaming quality.
