1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Unscrew the lamp head counterclockwise to open the battery compartment.
2. Insert a standard 18650 rechargeable lithium battery (2600mAh recommended) with the positive (+) end facing inwards.
3. Tighten the lamp head clockwise until secure.

4.2 Mounting the Headlight

The X7 headlight offers versatile mounting options:

• Handlebar Mount: Use the provided strap mount to secure the headlight to your bicycle's handlebar.
• GoPro Bracket Installation: The headlight is compatible with GoPro brackets, allowing for forward or suspended mounting positions. Rotate the light head 180° when using a GoPro mount to ensure the correct light angle according to German road standards.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off and Mode Selection

• Power On/Off: Press the power button once to turn the light on or off.
• Lighting Modes: Cycle through Low, Medium, High, and Flash modes by short-pressing the power button.
• Strobe/Non-Strobe Mode: In the power-on state, press and hold the power button for more than 5 seconds to switch between strobe and non-strobe modes.
• Memory Mode: In Smart Mode, the device will remember the last lighting mode used before shutdown.

5.2 Smart Standby Feature

The X7 headlight includes a smart standby feature:

• Double-click the power button to enter hibernation mode.
• If no movement is detected within 10 seconds, the light will automatically hibernate.
• Upon detecting movement again, the light will resume illumination.

5.3 Charging

Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the charging port on the headlight and to a suitable USB power source. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the headlight with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Care: Ensure the 18650 battery is charged regularly, especially if not used for extended periods, to maintain battery health. Replace the battery if its performance significantly degrades.
• Water Resistance: The IPX6 rating means the light is protected against powerful water jets. While it can withstand rain, avoid submerging it in water. Ensure the Type-C port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

7. Troubleshooting

• Light not turning on: Check if the battery is correctly installed and charged. Ensure the power button is pressed firmly.
• Light flickering or dim: The battery might be low. Recharge the battery or replace it with a fully charged one.
• Overheating: The X7 features a discharge protection chip that adjusts lumens to prevent overheating. If the light feels excessively hot, it may be operating in a high-intensity mode in a static environment. Consider switching to a lower mode or ensuring adequate airflow.
• Inconsistent Smart Standby: Ensure the light is in Smart Standby mode (double-click to activate). If it doesn't wake up with movement, check for obstructions or ensure the vibration sensor is not covered.

8. User Tips

• Optimize Light Angle: When using a GoPro mount, rotate the light head 180° to achieve the correct and beautiful light angle, designed according to German road standards, ensuring optimal visibility without dazzling oncoming traffic.
• Battery Management: The universal compatibility with 18650 batteries allows for quick battery replacement on longer rides. Always carry a spare charged battery for extended use.
• Medium Mode Battery Life: For a balance of brightness and runtime, the medium mode offers a good compromise. Users often inquire about its duration, which is approximately 4-5 hours depending on battery quality and age.
• Smart Standby for Convenience: Utilize the smart standby feature to conserve battery during short stops. The light will automatically resume when you start moving again.
