The RG P01 offers a versatile gaming experience with its multi-platform compatibility, advanced Hall Effect joysticks and triggers, customizable RGB lighting, and macro programming capabilities.

Setup

1. Charging the Gamepad

Before first use, fully charge the gamepad. Connect the supplied Type-C charging cable to the gamepad's charging port and the other end to a 5V power source (e.g., a computer USB port or a USB wall adapter). The gamepad takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge and provides up to 9 hours of playtime.

2. Connection Methods

The RG P01 supports three connection modes: Bluetooth 5.3, 2.4G Wireless, and Wired USB. Choose the appropriate method for your device.

2.1. Bluetooth Connection

  1. Ensure the gamepad is powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (refer to the Product Parameter diagram for location) until the indicator lights flash rapidly.
  3. On your device (PC, Android, iOS, Switch), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select "ANBERNIC RG P01" from the list to pair. The indicator lights will become solid once connected.

2.2. 2.4G Wireless Connection

  1. Insert the 2.4G wireless receiver into a USB port on your PC or compatible device.
  2. Ensure the gamepad is powered off.
  3. Press and hold the 2.4G pairing button (refer to the Product Parameter diagram for location) until the indicator lights flash rapidly.
  4. The gamepad will automatically connect to the receiver. The indicator lights will become solid once connected.

2.3. Wired Connection

  1. Connect the Type-C charging cable to the gamepad and the other end to a USB port on your PC or compatible device.
  2. The gamepad will automatically be recognized as a wired controller.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Controls and Layout

The RG P01 features an XBOX-style button layout for familiarity and ease of use. It includes standard ABXY buttons, D-pad, left and right joysticks, shoulder buttons (LB, RB), and Hall Effect triggers (LT, RT).

2. Advanced Features

2.1. Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers

Experience accurate control, smooth operation, and sensitive feedback with the Hall Effect joysticks and triggers. These components are designed for long service life and are resistant to drift.

2.2. Vibration Motor

The built-in dual asymmetric pendulum motors provide delicate and immersive vibration feedback, enhancing your gaming experience.

2.3. Six-axis Gyroscope

Enjoy a new experience with native motion sensing, allowing for precise control in games that support gyroscope input.

2.4. RGB Lighting

Customize your gamepad with a 16 million color RGB light ring around the joysticks. Five kinds of lighting modes can be adjusted:

  • Auto-gradient Mode
  • Static Colorful Mode
  • Breathing Auto Color Change Mode
  • Static Single Color Mode
  • Breathing Single Color Mode

The lights can be freely turned on or off, and their intensity can be adjusted.

2.5. Macro Programming Back Keys (M1, M2)

The RG P01 features two macro programmable back keys (M1 and M2). These keys allow you to record and perform sequential or simultaneous moves, enabling you to play with your own style.

2.6. Turbo Setting Button

Utilize the Turbo setting button for semi-auto or full-auto rapid fire in games.

2.7. ABXY Layout Interchanges

The gamepad supports software-based ABXY layout interchanges, allowing you to switch between different button configurations as needed.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean your gamepad, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the surface of the controller.

2. Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the gamepad in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
  • Do not expose the gamepad to extreme temperatures.

3. Storage

When not in use, store the gamepad in its original packaging or a protective case to prevent dust accumulation and physical damage.

Troubleshooting

1. Gamepad Not Connecting

  • Check Battery: Ensure the gamepad is sufficiently charged.
  • Re-pair: Try re-pairing the gamepad via Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless.
  • Wired Connection: Test with a wired connection to rule out wireless issues.
  • Device Compatibility: Verify your device supports the chosen connection method.

2. Buttons/Joysticks Not Responding

  • Restart: Turn off and on the gamepad and your device.
  • Recalibrate: Some platforms allow joystick calibration in their settings.
  • Firmware: Check for available firmware updates (supports wired firmware upgrades).

3. Lag or Disconnections

  • Interference: Move away from other wireless devices that might cause interference.
  • Distance: Ensure the gamepad is within the effective range of your device or 2.4G receiver.
  • Wired Mode: If wireless issues persist, use the wired connection.

User Tips

  • 2.4G Wireless Receiver: Each RG P01 gamepad typically requires its own 2.4G wireless receiver for connection. Multiple controllers usually cannot connect to a single dongle simultaneously.
  • Xbox Compatibility: Please note that the ANBERNIC RG P01 gamepad is NOT compatible with Xbox consoles. It is designed for PC, Steam, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
