3. Installation and Wiring
Proper installation and wiring are critical for the safe and correct operation of the ZL-R200A controller. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified technician.
3.1 General Precautions
- The panel should be installed indoors, not outdoors.
- Do not plug in/out panel bundle with power supplied.
- All sensors must be installed at correct positions.
- Ensure U34 is set correctly; otherwise, the system will not work.
3.2 Wiring Diagram
Refer to the diagram below for correct wiring connections. Ensure all connections are secure and follow local electrical codes.

4. Operation
The ZL-R200A controller features an intuitive display and buttons for easy operation.
4.1 Control Panel Overview

4.2 Setting Water Temperature
The water temperature can be set within a range of 10℃ to 70℃. The factory default setting is 40℃.
4.3 Working Modes
The controller offers two primary working modes:
- "AUTO" Mode: The system maintains heating according to the set temperature.
- "SAVE" Mode: Heating is restricted to three predefined time periods. This mode is designed for energy saving.
To switch between "AUTO" and "SAVE" modes, press the M key. When "Auto restart function" is disabled (U80 = 0), it will be "AUTO" mode after power supplied.
4.4 System Parameter Settings
To access and modify system parameters:
- Press SET key to set the temperature. Keeping pressed can fast set.
- Press SET key to set the clock. Keeping pressed can fast set. The setting will be saved 5 seconds later after set.
- To enter system parameter set: Press ▲ and ▼ keys simultaneously for 3 seconds. The big digits show "P00" for password edit.
- Press ▲ or ▼ key to set password, press SET to confirm.
- If the password is wrong, exit. Else enter parameter set status.
- Press ▲ or ▼ to select parameter. Press SET to show the value of the parameter.
- Press ▲ or ▼ to set the value. Press SET to return to parameter selection.
- Keep SET pressed for 5 seconds to save the setting, and exit.
The status will exit if there is no key operation for 15 seconds, and the settings will not be saved.

Clock Setting
- Press SET key, the hour digits will blink, press ▲ or ▼ key to set hour.
- Press SET key again, minute digits will blink, press ▲ or ▼ key to set minute.
- Press SET key to exit.
Periods Setting for "SAVE" Mode
- Keep SET key depressed for 3 seconds to enter the period setting status.
- Press SET key to select the period and on/off. Press ▲ or ▼ to set the value of the time.
- Keep SET key depressed for 3 seconds to save the settings, and exit.
The status will exit if there is no key operation for 15 seconds, and the settings will not be saved.
5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ZL-R200A controller, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the display panel clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure the controller is installed in a dry, indoor environment to prevent moisture damage.
- Regularly check all wiring connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
- Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
- If any sensors are damaged or malfunctioning, replace them promptly with compatible parts.
6. Troubleshooting
This section provides guidance on common issues you might encounter with your ZL-R200A controller.
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| System does not work | Incorrect U34 setting. | Set U34 correctly as per the System Parameter Table. |
| Real clock loses time | Power loss for more than 72 hours. | Reset the clock. The real clock can only keep running correctly for 72 hours after power supply loses. |
| Sensor failure warning | Sensors not installed correctly or are faulty. | Ensure all sensors are installed at correct positions. Check sensor connections and replace faulty sensors if necessary. |
| Settings not saved | No key operation for 15 seconds during setting. | Ensure to press and hold the SET key for 5 seconds to save settings before the 15-second timeout. |
| High/Low pressure warning | System pressure issues. | Consult a qualified technician to diagnose and resolve pressure-related problems in the heat pump system. |
