3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Main Panel Installation

The KERUI W204 alarm host features a 2.4-inch color screen and touch panel for easy interaction. The back of the unit provides access to the battery compartment and wiring ports.

3.2 Network Configuration

The system supports both WIFI and 4G GSM networks. Ensure a valid SIM card (2G/3G/4G compatible) is inserted for GSM functionality. For WIFI, connect the system to your 2.4G wireless network.

3.3 Adding Wireless Accessories

The system supports wireless learning for 1527 series accessories, allowing up to 99 detectors and remote controls to be added.

Adding a Wireless Keyboard:

1. On the main panel, navigate to: Menu > Sensors > Remote.
2. The system will prompt to add a sensor.
3. On the wireless keyboard, enter the password (default: 123456) and press the Arm/Disarm button.
4. The main panel will confirm successful programming.

Adding an RFID Card:

1. On the wireless keyboard, enter the password (default: 123456), then press '---' (zone number '001') and '#'.
2. Swipe the RFID card over the RFID reader on the keyboard.
3. The system will confirm successful addition.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Arming and Disarming the System

The KERUI W204 offers multiple ways to arm and disarm your alarm system:

• Keyboard: Directly arm/disarm using the keypad on the main panel.
• Remote Controller: Use the provided remote controls for quick arming and disarming.
• Mobile APP/SMS: Arm or disarm the system remotely using the Tuya Smart APP or via SMS commands.
• RFID Card: Swipe a pre-programmed RFID card over the main panel or a compatible RFID keyboard to disarm the system.

4.2 Tuya Smart APP Control

The Tuya Smart APP allows you to monitor and control your alarm system from anywhere. It provides real-time status feedback, alarm push notifications, and allows you to manage various settings.

4.3 Scheduling Arm/Disarm

You can set up to 8 different schedules for automatic arming and disarming. This feature helps to automate your security routine and avoid manual adjustments.

4.4 Emergency Functions

• Auto-Dialer: In case of an alarm, the system will automatically call up to 6 pre-set phone numbers.
• 10s Message Recording: A 10-second voice message can be recorded and played during alarm calls to provide details about the emergency.
• SOS Alarming: The wireless keyboard has an SOS button. Pressing it will trigger an immediate alarm.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Management

The main alarm host includes a built-in rechargeable high-capacity LI battery. This battery automatically provides power to the system during a power supply failure, ensuring continuous operation.

The system provides low-voltage indications for both the host and its accessories. Replace batteries in accessories (e.g., PIR sensors, door/window sensors, remote controls) when low-voltage alerts are received to ensure optimal performance.

5.2 Anti-Tamper Feature

The system is equipped with anti-tamper features to detect unauthorized attempts to disable or remove the alarm host or its accessories. Ensure all components are securely installed to prevent false tamper alerts.

6. Troubleshooting

• System not arming/disarming: Check power supply, battery levels of remote controls/sensors, and ensure correct password/RFID card is used.
• No alarm notification: Verify GSM signal strength, check if phone numbers are correctly programmed, and ensure APP notifications are enabled.
• False alarms: Check sensor placement (avoid direct sunlight, drafts, or pets for PIR sensors), ensure door/window sensors are properly aligned, and verify sensitivity settings if adjustable.
• Accessories not connecting: Ensure accessories are within range of the main panel. Re-learn accessories if connection issues persist.
• Power outage issues: Confirm the built-in LI battery is charged. If the system doesn't switch to battery power, check battery connection or consider battery replacement if old.
