Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the earphones and charging case. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the charging port on the case and a power source. The indicator light on the charging case will show charging status.
2. Pairing with a Device
- Ensure the earphones are in the charging case and the case lid is closed.
- Open the charging case lid. The earphones will automatically power on and enter pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
- Search for "HOCO EQ23 Plus" in the list of available Bluetooth devices and select it to connect.
- Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the earphones will be ready for use.
The earphones support master-slave switching, meaning either earbud can be used independently.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Power On: Open the charging case lid, and the earphones will automatically power on.
- Power Off: Place the earphones back into the charging case and close the lid. They will automatically disconnect and power off.
Smart Touch Controls
The touch-sensitive area on each earbud allows for easy control of various functions:
- Play/Pause: Single tap on either earbud.
- Next Track: Double tap on the right earbud.
- Previous Track: Double tap on the left earbud.
- Answer/End Call: Single tap on either earbud.
- Reject Call: Long press on either earbud.
- Activate Voice Assistant (Siri): Triple tap on either earbud.
- ANC/Transparency Mode Switch: Long press on either earbud (typically 2 seconds) to cycle through Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency Mode, and Normal Mode.

Maintenance
Cleaning
- Regularly clean the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or chemical solvents.
- Remove ear tips and clean them with mild soap and water if necessary, ensuring they are completely dry before reattaching.
- Clean the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case with a dry cotton swab to ensure proper charging.
Storage
- When not in use, always store the earphones in their charging case to protect them and keep them charged.
- Store in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
Battery Care
- To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the earphones and charging case frequently.
- Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
- Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case, close the lid, then open it again to re-enter pairing mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings.
- Only one earbud working: Place both earbuds back in the case, close the lid, then take them out again. This often re-syncs them.
- No sound: Check the volume on your device and ensure the earphones are properly connected via Bluetooth.
- Charging issues: Clean the charging contacts on both the earbuds and the case. Ensure the charging cable is securely connected.
- Poor call quality: Ensure the earbuds are properly seated in your ears. Check for any obstructions around the microphones.
