2. Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the power switch is off and the machine is unplugged before changing needles, threading, or performing any maintenance.

  • Do not allow children to operate the machine unsupervised.
  • Use only the recommended power adapter.
  • Do not turn the function adjusting wheel while the machine is running.
  • Avoid sewing fabrics with excessive stretchiness (e.g., terry cloth, plush cloth, stretchable knitted cloth) as this machine may not sew them normally.
  • The recommended fabric thickness is between 0.3mm and 1.8mm.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Initial Placement

Carefully remove the sewing machine and all accessories from the packaging. Place the machine on a stable, flat surface with adequate lighting.

4.2 Power Connection

Locate the power socket on the back of the machine (refer to Figure 2). Connect the provided power adapter to the machine and then plug it into a suitable power outlet. If using the foot pedal, connect it to the pedal socket (refer to Figure 2).

4.3 Threading the Machine

Proper threading is crucial for correct stitch formation. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Verify that the upper thread and spool are properly installed.
  2. Turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise) to raise the handle and pointer to the highest position.
  3. Guide the upper thread through the designated thread guides and tension discs.
  4. Thread the needle from front to back.
  5. Ensure the bobbin is correctly wound and inserted into its casing.

Note: The threading of the upper thread and bottom thread must be done according to the steps in the instruction manual. You cannot sew normally without completing every step correctly.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Selecting a Stitch Pattern

Turn the function adjustment wheel (refer to Figure 1) to select your desired stitch pattern. The machine supports various patterns, including chain stitch.

Caution: Do not turn the function adjusting wheel when the machine is running.

5.2 Starting to Sew

  1. Raise the presser foot and place the fabric under it.
  2. With the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise), lower the needle to where you want to start sewing.
  3. Lower the presser foot to fix the fabric.
  4. Ensure the foot pedal auto switch is set (if using the pedal) and the adapter is plugged in.
  5. Turn on the power switch (refer to Figure 2).
  6. Start sewing by lightly pressing the fabric and activating the machine (via foot pedal or hand switch, depending on model).

5.3 Finishing a Seam

  1. After sewing is completed, turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise) to raise the needle and thread take-up lever.
  2. Raise the presser foot.
  3. Take the fabric off and cut the thread using the integrated thread cutter (refer to Figure 1).

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance. Use a soft brush to remove lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs. Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth.

6.2 Needle Replacement

Dull or bent needles can cause skipped stitches or fabric damage. Replace the needle regularly, especially when working with different fabric types or if you notice issues. Always ensure the power is off and the machine is unplugged before changing the needle.
