1. Introduction

The Baseus SafeJourney Series Wireless CarPlay Adapter (Model BS-CG027) is designed to convert your car's existing wired CarPlay system into a wireless one, providing enhanced convenience and a seamless driving experience. This adapter supports iPhone 6 and above models running iOS 10 or later. It features Plug & Play functionality, automatic connection, Bluetooth 5.0 for stable connectivity, and wide compatibility with various car models.

Please note: This product does not support Android Auto or Android phones, nor does it support video playback from apps like YouTube.

3. Setup Instructions

Before proceeding, ensure your car supports wired Apple CarPlay and your iPhone is running iOS 10 or later.

1. Prepare your car: Before use, please unpair your iPhone from your car's original central control Bluetooth to avoid conflicts.
2. Connect the Adapter: Insert the Baseus SafeJourney Wireless CarPlay Adapter into your car's original CarPlay USB-A or USB-C interface.

3. Pair with your iPhone: Pair the adapter with your iPhone via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth name will appear as "BS-CG027-xxxx" (where "xxxx" is a randomly displayed number).

   When connecting to Bluetooth for the first time, if a Siri authorization prompt appears on your phone, please select "Accept" and turn on the settings switch.

4. Access CarPlay: After a successful connection, your iPhone will display the CarPlay interface. Click the button on your phone screen to enter the CarPlay interface on your car's display.

6. Device OTA Upgrade

To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, you can upgrade the adapter's firmware:

1. Power and Connect to Wi-Fi: Insert the adapter into a USB 5V power supply. Once powered on, use your iPhone to connect to the adapter's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi name will be "BS-CG027-xxxx" and the password is "88888888".
2. Access Backend System: Open a web browser on your iPhone and enter the address http://192.168.1.101 to access the adapter's backend system.
3. Upgrade Software: Within the backend system, locate and click the "Update" button to upgrade the software.

7. Troubleshooting

• CarPlay Interface Not Displaying: If the central control screen still does not display the iPhone interface after successfully connecting to Bluetooth, open your iPhone's settings: Phone Settings > General > CarPlay > [Bluetooth Name of Adapter], and toggle the CarPlay button to turn it on.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues (LED Flashing Blue): If the LED indicator light is flashing blue, it means the device is powered on but Bluetooth is not connected. Ensure your iPhone's Bluetooth is on and correctly paired with "BS-CG027-xxxx".
• Microphone Issues: If callers cannot hear your voice, check your iPhone's privacy settings for microphone access by CarPlay and ensure your car's microphone is enabled and not muted.
• General Problem Submission: If you encounter other issues, you can enter the adapter's backend system (as described in the OTA Upgrade section) to fill in a problem description. Click "Submit" and take a screenshot with your phone to contact the dealer for support.
