5. Setup & Charging
5.1. Charging the Device
- Connect the provided USB cable to the USB Type-C port on the bottom of the clipper or place it on the charging base.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a certified 5V power adapter (not included).
- The switch button will illuminate red when charging.
- A full charge takes approximately 1.5 hours and provides 85-90 minutes of usage time.
5.2. Attaching the Limit Comb
- Align the limit comb with the blade edge.
- Slightly push the comb forward until it clicks into place.
5.3. Detaching the Limit Comb
Simply pull the limit comb firmly away from the blade to detach it.
6. Operation
The Kemei KM-1838 is designed for both wet and dry hair removal across various body areas.
6.1. Basic Operation
- Press the switch button to turn on the device. The button will illuminate green at startup, and an LED light near the blade will turn on for better visibility.
- Select the desired trimming length by attaching the limit comb if needed.
- Gently glide the clipper against the direction of hair growth for effective trimming.
- After use, press the switch button again to turn off the device.

7. Maintenance & Cleaning
7.1. Whole Body Washing
The Kemei KM-1838 features a full body washable design (IPX7 waterproof rating), allowing you to easily wash the blades and the entire device under water to remove broken hair and grease.
7.2. Blade Alignment (if removed for cleaning/replacement)
Your clipper blades were carefully examined and aligned before leaving the factory. If blades have been removed for cleaning or replacement, they must be realigned:
- Match the upper and bottom blade teeth up, point for point.
- The end of the top blade teeth should be approximately 0.5-1.0mm back from the bottom blade. This is important to prevent the clipper from cutting too close or allowing the moving cutter to touch the skin.
- The extreme left-hand tooth of the top blade must be covering or be to the left of the first small tooth of the bottom blade.
- The extreme right-hand tooth of the top blade must be touching the big tooth on the bottom blade.
- If blade alignment is incorrect, add a few drops of oil to the blade, turn the clipper on for a few moments, then turn off and unplug. Loosen screws slightly and adjust. Tighten screws after the blade is aligned.
7.3. Cutter Maintenance (Oiling)
To maintain your clipper in peak condition, the blades should be oiled every few haircuts. To oil it properly, hold the unit so the blades are in a downward position. With the clipper blade running, dispense 2-3 drops of oil across the top blade.
Note: International transport regulations do not allow liquids. Lubricating oil is not included in the package. Please understand.
7.4. After Use Storage
Turn off the device and store it in a dry place, away from children.
