- Password Security: When setting up passwords, choose a strong, unique combination of 6-10 digits. Avoid easily guessable sequences.
- Fingerprint Enrollment: For optimal recognition, ensure your finger is clean and dry during enrollment. Try to capture different angles of your fingerprint for better accuracy.
- RFID Card Management: Keep track of assigned RFID cards. If a card is lost or stolen, promptly remove it from the system via the administrator settings.
- Regular Review of Access Records: Periodically check the door opening records in the Tuya APP to monitor activity and ensure security.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the fingerprint sensor and touch screen panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Environmental Protection: Despite its IP65 waterproof rating, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions or direct water jets to maximize product lifespan.
- Wiring Check: Periodically inspect all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from damage.
- Software Updates: Keep your Tuya APP updated to the latest version to benefit from new features and security enhancements.
6. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Forgot Administrator Password: If you forget the administrator password, you will need to reset the device to factory settings and reconfigure it. Refer to the device's specific reset procedure (often involves a physical reset button or a sequence on the keypad).
- Fingerprint/Card/Password Not Recognized:
- Ensure the fingerprint sensor is clean and your finger is dry.
- Verify that the RFID card or password is correctly registered in the system.
- Try re-enrolling the fingerprint, card, or password.
- Door Not Unlocking:
- Check the power supply to ensure the system is receiving adequate power (DC 12V).
- Inspect all wiring connections, especially to the electric lock, for any loose or damaged wires.
- Verify that the lock mechanism itself is not jammed or obstructed.
- Tuya APP Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the access control unit is within range.
- If using a Tuya Gateway for WiFi connectivity, ensure the gateway is powered on, connected to your 2.4G WiFi network, and within range of both the access control unit and your router.
- Restart the Tuya APP and try reconnecting.
- Keypad Not Responding:
- Check the power supply.
- Ensure the touch screen is clean and free from moisture.
