2. Safety Information

Please read all safety instructions carefully before use to prevent injury or damage.

  • RCD Protection: The charger is equipped with RCD Type B leakage protection (AC30mA + DC6mA) to ensure electrical safety.
  • Multi-Protections: Features include over-voltage, under-voltage, lightning, over-current, overheat, ground, and overload protection.
  • Temperature Control: An intelligent temperature control chip prevents excessive temperature during prolonged charging. The system will automatically cut off power if the temperature exceeds 85°C within 0.2 seconds. Current will be reduced if the temperature is above 70°C but below 85°C, and charging will resume automatically below 65°C.
  • Current Adjustment: Always disconnect the Type1 plug from your car before adjusting the current setting.
  • Power Off Before Disconnecting: Ensure the charging station is powered off before pulling out the charging plug from your vehicle.
  • Environmental Conditions: The charger has an IP66 rating for water and dust resistance, making it suitable for various outdoor conditions.

5. Setup

5.1 Wall-Mounted Installation

The charger comes with a charging box bracket and a charging plug holder, allowing for a convenient wall-mounted setup similar to a dedicated wallbox. Use the provided screws and anchors for secure installation.

  1. Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring it is near your vehicle's parking spot and a power outlet.
  2. Mount the charging box bracket securely to the wall using the provided hardware.
  3. Attach the charging plug holder to the wall at a convenient height to store the charging cable and connector when not in use.
  4. Place the charger unit onto the mounted bracket.

5.2 App Connection (Wi-Fi Smart APP)

To utilize the smart features, connect your phone to the charger via the dedicated app.

  1. Download the Feyree Smart APP from your device's app store.
  2. For the initial connection, connect your phone to the charger's hotspot.
  3. Once connected via hotspot, you can control the charger via Bluetooth within 10 meters. (Note: Requires your phone's SIM card to have a signal for initial setup/hotspot functionality).

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Charging

  1. Adjust Current (if needed): If you wish to adjust the charging current (8A-50A), press the 'A' button on the charger. Ensure the Type1 plug is disconnected from your car before making adjustments.
  2. Connect to Vehicle: Plug the Type1 connector into your electric vehicle's charging port.
  3. Start Charging: The charger will automatically begin charging or you can initiate it via the app.
  4. Monitor Charging: The LCD screen displays real-time charging data (voltage, current, temperature, etc.).
  5. Stop Charging: To stop charging, press the emergency stop button on the charger or use the app. Always power off the station before disconnecting the charging plug from your vehicle.

6.2 Scheduled Charging

The charger allows you to schedule charging sessions to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates.

  1. Delay Charging: Use the 'D' button or the app to delay charging from 1 to 15 hours.
  2. Set Charging Time: Use the 'T' button or the app to set the duration of the charging session from 1 to 15 hours.
  3. App Scheduling: The Wi-Fi Smart APP allows for advanced weekly charging plans, similar to setting an alarm clock.

6.3 Emergency Stop

In case of an emergency, press the dedicated emergency stop button on the charger to immediately halt the charging process.

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the charger's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect the charging cable and connector for any signs of wear, damage, or fraying. If any damage is found, discontinue use immediately and contact support.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the charging cable neatly using the provided holder to prevent kinks or damage.
  • Environmental Protection: The IP66 rating ensures protection against dust and water, but avoid submerging the unit or exposing it to extreme conditions beyond its operating temperature range.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Error Message "err:reset": If you encounter an "err:reset" message on the screen after installation, press the main button on the wallbox to restart it. This should resolve the issue.
  • Charging Not Starting:
    1. Ensure the charger is properly plugged into the power source.
    2. Verify the Type1 connector is securely plugged into your vehicle.
    3. Check the LCD screen for any error messages.
    4. If adjusting current, ensure the car side Type1 plug was disconnected during adjustment.
  • App Connectivity Issues:
    1. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled and within 10 meters of the charger.
    2. For initial setup, confirm your phone's SIM card has a signal for hotspot connection.
    3. Try restarting the app and the charger.
  • Overheat Protection Triggered: The charger will automatically reduce current or cut off power if it detects overheating. Ensure the charger is in a well-ventilated area and not exposed to direct sunlight during charging, especially in hot climates.
  • Other Errors: The real-time data display is designed to warn of possible errors. Note any error codes or messages displayed and refer to the app or contact customer support for further assistance.
