Operating Instructions
1. Basic Functions
- Power On/Off: The device typically powers on with the vehicle ignition and powers off when the ignition is turned off. A power button is also available for manual control.
- Recording: The dash cam automatically begins recording when powered on. The front camera records in 4K, and the rear camera records in 1080P.
- Display Modes: The 11.3" IPS touch screen supports various display modes, including front camera only, rear camera only, and split-screen view (front + rear). Tap the screen to cycle through display options.
- Playback: Access recorded videos through the 'Replay' or 'Recorder' menu on the touch screen.
2. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
The XGODY H16 supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration.

4. Advanced Features
- GPS Navigation: The built-in GPS module allows for navigation directly on the dash cam screen, often integrated with CarPlay or Android Auto maps.
- ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems): The device may include ADAS features such as lane departure warning or forward collision warning. Refer to the on-screen settings for activation and calibration.
- Loop-Cycle Recording: When the memory card is full, the dash cam automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked footage. Essential recordings can be locked to prevent overwriting.
- NightShot Function: Enhanced low-light recording capabilities ensure clear footage even in challenging night conditions.
- G-Sensor: In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the G-Sensor automatically detects the event and locks the current video file to prevent it from being overwritten.
- Parking Monitor: When enabled, the dash cam can record footage if an impact is detected while the vehicle is parked. This feature typically requires a continuous power supply (hardwiring kit, sold separately).
- Bluetooth Audio / AUX: Connect your phone via Bluetooth for audio streaming or use the AUX cable to connect to your car's audio system.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and camera lenses. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. Follow the provided instructions carefully for any updates.
- Memory Card: Regularly format your TF card (monthly recommended) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage before formatting.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and component integrity.
Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the car charger is securely connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket is functioning.
- Recording issues: Verify that a TF card is inserted and properly formatted. Check if the card is full or corrupted. Try using a different, high-speed TF card.
- CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting: Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are active on your phone. Confirm your phone's operating system meets the minimum requirements (Android 11+ for Android Auto). Try restarting both the dash cam and your phone.
- No audio output: Check if the AUX cable is properly connected or if Bluetooth audio is paired correctly. Ensure the volume on both the dash cam and your car stereo is turned up.
- G-Sensor not working: Verify that the G-Sensor sensitivity is set appropriately in the device settings.
- Voice control not responding: Ensure the microphone is not obstructed and speak clearly. Check language settings for voice commands.
User Tips
- Screen Mirroring: The device supports Android Mirroring, allowing you to display your Android phone's screen directly on the dash cam. This can be useful for apps not natively supported by Android Auto.
- Voice Command Language: While voice control is available, specific language support for commands (e.g., Polish) may depend on the connected smartphone's voice assistant capabilities and the dash cam's firmware. Check your phone's settings for supported languages.
- G-Sensor Sensitivity: Adjust the G-Sensor sensitivity in the settings to prevent false triggers from minor bumps while ensuring critical events are recorded.
