2. Setup and Installation

2.1. Installing the Electrostatic Sticker

Paste the electrostatic sticker on the recommended area on the front windshield. Press the sticker to remove air bubbles. Avoid the edge of the windshield and select a flat and smooth area for installation.

Note: Keep the windshield clean and dry without liquid residue to prevent the sticker from losing adhesion and the dash cam from dropping.

2.2. Installing the Mount

Attach the mount into the mount slot and slide up.

2.3. Installing the Memory Card

Insert the memory card into the card slot.

2.4. Mounting the Dash Cam

Paste the dash cam onto the electrostatic sticker.

2.5. Routing Cable

Route the power cord to the cigarette lighter and connect power.

Notes:

• Use the included wiring trim tool to hide the power cord underneath the vehicle's headliner and rubber seal along the A-pillar.
• Depending on the vehicle, the cigarette lighter socket may be located in a different position. The above figure is for reference only.

2.6. Adjusting the Camera Angle

Turn on the dash cam and adjust the camera angle based on the preview screen.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Triple View Recording with HDR

The 70mai T800 supports three-channel hardware-level HDR recording, balancing image brightness and darkness, brightening shadows for sharper details and darkening highlights to minimize overexposure, resulting in a more natural and realistic image.

3.2. 4K 60FPS Recording

When the 4K T800 is used without a rear camera or paired with the RC24*, it supports true 4K (3840×2160) recording at 60 frames per second. It delivers ultra-smooth motion and stunning clarity, even at high driving speeds. Every detail is captured with remarkable precision, making it the perfect choice for drivers who prioritize the highest image quality.

From fast-paced city drives to scenic highway cruising, the 4K T800 preserves every moment in vivid, fluid detail.

• *4K 60FPS is exclusive to RC24. When paired with RC41, the 4K T800 supports up to 4K 60FPS.
• **When the front camera records at 60FPS, the interior will adjust from 30FPS to 20FPS, while the rear will remain at 30FPS.

3.3. Superlative Image Quality Features

• F1.7 Large Aperture: The T800 features an F1.7 large aperture, significantly increasing light intake. Combined with the industry-leading STARVIS2 sensor, it delivers clearer, brighter video even during nighttime driving. (Note: The smaller the number, the larger the aperture, allowing for more light intake. F1.7 > F1.8 > F2.0)
• MaiColor Vivid+ Solution™: Auto exposure technology, Selective image processing, Windshield color and transparency compensation.
• Night Owl Vision™: A proprietary night vision algorithm specifically developed for nighttime conditions, delivering higher clarity, lower noise, more balanced exposure, and superior glare control.
• 70mai Lumi Vision: Ensures clear viewing of parking surveillance footage around the vehicle, even in near-total darkness.

3.4. Buffered Emergency Recording

The 4K T800 now features upgraded Buffered Emergency Recording, extending the buffer beyond 10 seconds (up to 3 minutes)*. It captures the pre-collision buffer, the exact moment of impact, and 30 seconds of post-collision footage, ensuring all crucial moments are recorded.

*The buffer length depends on the collision's timing within the loop recording and the selected loop duration. The default loop duration is set to 1 minute, but you can adjust it to 2 or 3 minutes if needed.

3.5. Smart Parking Guardian Mode

The 70mai Hardwire Kit or 4G Hardwire Kit is required for smart parking guardian mode and is sold separately.

• App Live Streaming: When the front camera detects suspicious movement, all three cameras start recording for 30 seconds.
• Collision Detection: G-sensor auto-activates all cameras to capture key footage from every angle during parking incidents - ideal for capturing break-ins or hit-and-runs.
• 3-Channel Time-Lapse Recording: Compresses 15 minutes into 1 minute - now with front, rear, and interior coverage for full-scene playback.

3.6. Stable Power & Smart Monitoring

• Supercapacitor - Safe & Reliable: Offers better thermal resistance, long cycle life, and is eco-friendly.
• Real-Time Battery Voltage Monitoring*: Visualize battery status in real time, prevent power drain with 9-level protection and auto shut-off on low voltage.

3.7. Built-in GPS and ADAS

• Built-in GPS: Captures speed, time, and precise coordinates, seamlessly logged for review in the 70mai App, offering proof of travel and route optimization.
• Built-in ADAS: Warns you in advance to minimize driving hazards: lane departure, forward vehicle start, forward collision, and adding identifications on pedestrians and cyclists to provide an extra layer of safety for your journey.

3.8. 4G Compatibility

The 4G connectivity ensures uninterrupted communication with your vehicle from any location.

3.10. Smart Voice Control

3.11. Picture-in-Picture Mode

• Supports viewing front, back, and interior footage simultaneously on the device screen.
• Tap to toggle the display of each screen to the home screen, or turn off internal recording.

3.13. 70mai App

This product may be used in conjunction with the 70mai app. You can download and install the app by scanning the QR code or finding "70mai" in the app store.

Note: Android 5.0 & iOS 11.0 or above is required to connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi hotspot with a mobile phone.

4. Maintenance

4.1. Memory Card Instructions

• A memory card (sold separately) must be installed in the dash cam before use.
• The dash cam supports standard MicroSD cards. Please use memory cards with a minimum capacity of 32GB and rating of U3(UHS-3) or above.
• The default file partition format of the memory card may be inconsistent with the format supported by the dash cam. When inserting the memory card for the first time, please format it in the dash cam before use. Formatting the memory card will delete all files on the card. Please back up important data to another device beforehand.
• The memory card may become damaged or deteriorated after repeated cycles of overwriting, and this may affect its ability to save video and image files. If this occurs, immediately replace it with a new memory card.
• Please use a high-quality memory card purchased from a reputable vendor. Inferior memory cards may have issues such as the actual reading/writing speeds do not match the stated speeds, and the actual storage capacity does not match the stated storage capacity. We shall not be held liable for lost or damaged videos caused by the use of a low-quality memory card.
• Do not insert or remove a memory card while the dash cam is turned on.

4.2. Cleaning and Care

• Keep the windshield clean and dry without liquid residue to ensure proper adhesion of the electrostatic sticker.
• Keep the dash cam away from any strong magnetic fields, as they may cause damage to the dash cam.

5. Troubleshooting

• If the battery becomes deformed, swollen, or starts leaking during use or storage, stop using the dash cam immediately in order to avoid safety issues, and contact after-sales service.
• If the dash cam functions abnormally due to power failure, usage in environments outside normal operating temperature or humidity range, a collision, or a damaged memory card, try restarting the device or checking the memory card.
• If this equipment causes harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

• This dash cam is intended to assist drivers with the purpose of recording the environment outside the vehicle. The dash cam does not guarantee the user's driving safety. We shall not be held liable for any accident, damage, or loss of information caused by operating the dash cam while driving.
• Due to differences in vehicle conditions, driving style, driving environment, etc., some functions may not work properly. A power failure, usage in environments outside the normal operating temperature or humidity range, a collision, or a damaged memory card may cause the dash cam to function abnormally. There is no guarantee that this dash cam will function normally under all circumstances. Videos recorded by this dash cam are for reference only.
• Please install this dash cam correctly, and do not block the driver's line of sight, nor block the vehicle's airbag, in order to avoid product failure or personal injury.
• Please use the included car charger, power cord, and other accessories in order to avoid product failure due to non-conformance. We shall not be held liable for any loss or damage caused by the use of a non-genuine car charger or power cord.
• If the battery becomes deformed, swollen, or starts leaking during use or storage, stop using the dash cam immediately in order to avoid safety issues, and contact after-sales service.
• Please keep this dash cam away from any strong magnetic fields, as they may cause damage to the dash cam.
• Do not use this dash cam in environments with temperatures over 60°C or below -10°C.
• Please only use this dash cam within the scope permitted by law.
