Product Overview
The Baseus Safe Journey Series Wireless CarPlay Adapter (Model BS-CG027) is designed to convert your car's existing wired Apple CarPlay system into a wireless one, enhancing convenience and safety during your drives. This adapter allows seamless integration of your iPhone with your car's infotainment system, providing access to navigation, music, calls, and voice assistance without the need for a physical cable connection.

Important Notes Before Use:
- This product does NOT support Android Auto or Android phones. It is exclusively for Apple CarPlay.
- This product does NOT support video playback from apps like YouTube. Its function is to convert wired CarPlay to wireless CarPlay.
- For Apple CarPlay, it supports iPhone 6 and above models, running iOS 10 or later.

Setup Instructions
Verifying Car CarPlay Compatibility:
Before setting up, ensure your car supports wired Apple CarPlay. You can confirm this by:
- In your vehicle's system settings menu, look for options like "Mobile Internet", "CarPlay", "Smart Device Management", or similar.
- Connect your iPhone to your car's USB port (often marked with a phone icon or "CarPlay") using an original Apple Lightning cable. If a CarPlay prompt appears on your car's infotainment screen, your car supports CarPlay.
Initial Setup (Plug & Play):
- Plug in the Adapter: Insert the Baseus Wireless CarPlay Adapter into your car's original CarPlay USB-A or USB-C interface. Use the provided USB-C to USB-A adapter cable if necessary.
- Bluetooth Pairing: On your iPhone, go to Bluetooth settings and pair with the device. The Bluetooth name will be "BS-CG027-xxxx" (where "xxxx" is a randomly displayed number).
- Connect to CarPlay: After a successful Bluetooth connection, your phone will display the CarPlay interface. Tap the button on your phone screen to enter the CarPlay interface on your car's display.

Operating Instructions
Automatic Connection:
Once initially paired, the adapter will automatically connect to your iPhone whenever you start your car, providing a seamless transition to the CarPlay interface.

Maintenance
LED Indicator Light Effect Description:
- Flashing Blue: The adapter is connected to the data cable and powered on, but Bluetooth is not yet connected.
- Solid Blue: Bluetooth connection is successful.

Device OTA (Over-The-Air) Upgrade:
To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, you can upgrade the adapter's firmware:
- Insert the product into a USB 5V power supply (e.g., a USB wall adapter, not the car's port for upgrade).
- Once powered on, use your phone to connect to the device's Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi name will be "BS-CG027-xxxx" and the password is "88888888".
- Open a web browser on your phone and enter the address:
http://192.168.1.101to access the backend system. - In the backend system, click "Update" to upgrade the software.
Recommendations for Use:
- Use with a cigarette lighter adapter for power if not using the car's CarPlay USB port for OTA upgrades.
- It is recommended to use original CarPlay ports for normal operation.
Troubleshooting
- No CarPlay Display After Connection:
- Before use, ensure you unpair your phone from the car's original central control Bluetooth.
- When connecting to Bluetooth for the first time, if a Siri authorization prompt appears on your phone, select "Accept" and turn on the settings switch.
- If the central control screen still does not display the phone interface after successfully connecting to Bluetooth, open your iPhone's settings: Go to
Settings > General > CarPlay. Find the Bluetooth name of your car and toggle the CarPlay button to turn it on.
- Connection Issues: Ensure the adapter is firmly plugged into the car's CarPlay USB port. Try a different USB port if available.
- Software Problems: If you encounter persistent issues, consider performing an OTA upgrade as described in the Maintenance section.
Problem Submission:
If you experience issues that cannot be resolved with the above steps, you can submit a problem report:
- Access the backend system via
http://192.168.1.101(as described in OTA Upgrade). - Fill in the problem description, click "Submit", and take a screenshot with your phone to provide to the dealer or customer support.
