5. Setup and Installation

The STRONGNAVI Smart Car Screen is designed for in-dash placement. Professional installation is recommended to ensure proper wiring and functionality.

5.1 Basic Installation Steps

  1. Mounting: Securely attach the host machine to your car's dashboard using the provided pedestal. Ensure it is stable and does not obstruct your view or vehicle controls.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to your vehicle's power supply. Ensure correct polarity to prevent damage.
  3. AUX Connection: If you plan to use the AUX input, connect the provided AUX cable from the smart screen to your car's AUX port.
  4. Optional Rear Camera (if applicable):
    • The rear camera is typically wired. Run the camera cable from the rear of your vehicle to the smart screen unit on the dash.
    • Connect the camera's power to your vehicle's reverse light circuit for automatic activation when reversing.
    • Connect the video signal cable to the designated input on the smart screen.
  5. Initial Power On: Once all connections are secure, power on your vehicle and the smart screen.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Wireless Carplay / Android Auto

  1. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled.
  2. On the smart screen, select the "Carplay" or "Android Auto" icon.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone wirelessly. Once connected, your phone's compatible apps will appear on the screen.

6.2 Wireless Airplay / Mirror Link

  1. Select the "Wireless Link" or "Airplay" option on the smart screen.
  2. On your smartphone, enable screen mirroring/casting and select the STRONGNAVI device from the list.
  3. Your phone's screen will be mirrored onto the smart screen.

6.3 Media Playback (SD Card)

  1. Insert a compatible SD card into the designated slot on the smart screen.
  2. Navigate to the "SD Card" or "Media Player" application.
  3. Browse and select your desired videos, music, pictures, or documents for playback.

6.4 Audio Settings (DSP, FM, AUX)

  • DSP: Access the "EQ Setup" or "DSP" settings to customize sound profiles (e.g., Jazz, Classic, Pop, Rock) and adjust equalizer bands for optimal audio output.
  • FM Transmission: To output audio through your car's speakers, tune the smart screen's FM transmitter to an unused FM frequency, then tune your car's radio to the same frequency.
  • AUX: If connected via AUX cable, select the AUX input on your car's stereo system.
