The OTTOCAST i3 AI Box is specifically designed for BMW iDrive systems (IDrive 6, 7, 8, 9) and Kia vehicles with wireless CarPlay. It seamlessly converts your car's iDrive system into a standalone Android environment, greatly expanding entertainment capabilities. Enjoy diverse entertainment methods such as videos and games directly on your car's display.
Note: This product is only suitable for vehicles with iDrive 6, 7, 8, 9 and original wireless CarPlay functionality.

Setup Instructions
1. Initial Connection
- Power on your car's infotainment system.
- Connect the OTTOCAST i3 AI Box to your car's USB port using the provided USB cable.
- On your car's display, navigate to the Media or CarPlay section and select the device named 'AiBox-XXXX' to connect the Bluetooth.
- If any pop-up appears, agree to the terms to proceed.

2. Inserting SIM and TF Cards
The AI Box supports both Nano SIM card for cellular data and TF (Micro SD) card for expanded storage or media playback.
- Nano SIM Card: Insert a Nano SIM card into the designated slot for cellular data network access.
- TF Card: Insert a TF card into its slot for additional storage or to play media files.
Tip: Power off the device before inserting or removing the Nano SIM card or TF card.

Operating Instructions
1. Connecting to the Network
- Using Cellular Data (Nano SIM): Once the Nano SIM card is inserted, the device will automatically attempt to connect to the cellular network.
- Connecting to Wi-Fi: Go to AI Box Settings > Network & Internet > Internet > Wi-Fi. Join an available Wi-Fi network, such as a router or personal hotspot from your phone.
2. Pairing Your Phone with Bluetooth
- On your phone, open Bluetooth settings and ensure it is discoverable.
- On the AI Box, open the Bluetooth application.
- Tap the 'Search' button in the Device list to find your phone.
- Select your phone from the completed Bluetooth list and tap 'Connect'.
3. Connecting a Bluetooth Remote Control
- Ensure your remote control is in pairing mode.
- Pair the Bluetooth remote control after connecting the AI Box.
- Follow any prompts on your mobile phone for Bluetooth pairing.
Tip: The layout of the Bluetooth pairing pop-up may vary depending on your mobile phone's brand.
4. Key Features and Functions
- App Access: Access popular apps like Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, and Google Play Store.
- Navigation: Utilize built-in GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, and AGPS for navigation.
- Split Screen: Enjoy multitasking with the split-screen feature, allowing two applications to run side-by-side.
- Customization: Change wallpapers and modify the indicator light color of the device to match your car's interior.
- Voice Assistant: Use Google Voice Assistant for hands-free control.

5. HDMI Output
The device features an HDMI 2.0 output port. When using this port, the screen ratio will maintain the BMW original car screen ratio.
Maintenance
1. Online System Upgrade
- Ensure the product is connected to the internet.
- Go to Settings > System settings > Version information > Online upgrade.
- If a new software update is available, click the update button to download and install.
Tip: DO NOT power off the device while updating!
2. TF Card System Upgrade
- Format a TF card to FAT32.
- Place the "upgrade auto" and "Zeus L8M L-DH1 TMI ota-xxx.zip" upgrade files into the root directory of the TF card.
- Insert the prepared TF card into the device.
- Power on the device and wait for the automatic upgrade process to begin.
- When the upgrade file is recognized, the indicator light will change from 'flashing' to 'steady on'.
- After the upgrade is complete, the light will change from 'steady on' to 'flashing', indicating completion.
Troubleshooting
1. Reporting an Issue (Online Log Submission)
If you encounter issues or questions, you can utilize the online log submission feature to help resolve concerns promptly.
- Ensure the product is connected to the network.
- Go to Settings > System settings > General settings > Log upload.
- Snap a photo of the successful log upload screen.
- Send both the picture and a description of the issue to OTTOCAST customer service.
2. Device Reset
If the device is unresponsive or experiencing persistent issues, you can perform a reset:
- Go to Settings > System settings > General settings > Reset.
User Tips
- Processor Information: The AI Box comes with either a QCM 6125 or MTK6765 processor, depending on the specific variant.
- HDMI Output: The device includes an HDMI OUT port, which can be used to mirror the display while maintaining the original car screen ratio.
- Compatibility Check: Always verify your BMW model and iDrive version (ID6, ID7, ID8, ID9) to ensure compatibility, as well as confirming your car has original wireless CarPlay.
