5. Setup Guide
5.1 SIM Card Installation
- Ensure the watch is powered off.
- Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the watch.
- Carefully open the SIM card slot cover.
- Insert a Nano SIM card (with a Micro SIM card tray if needed) into the slot, ensuring the correct orientation as indicated by the diagram or markings.
- Close the SIM card slot cover securely to ensure water resistance.

5.2 App Pairing
- Power on the watch.
- Navigate to the 'Device Info' or 'App' section on the watch screen.
- Locate and display the QR code for pairing.
- On your smartphone, download and install the companion application (refer to the watch's display for the app name or scan the QR code).
- Open the app and select the option to add a new device.
- Use your smartphone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the watch.
- Follow the on-screen prompts in the app to complete the pairing process.
5.3 SOS Number Configuration
The watch allows you to set up three emergency SOS contact numbers through the companion app. In an emergency, long-pressing the SOS button on the watch will initiate a call to these numbers in a loop (dialing each number twice) until a connection is made or all attempts are exhausted.
- Open the companion app on your smartphone.
- Navigate to the 'SOS Numbers' section.
- Enter up to three emergency contact numbers.
- Save the settings.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Making and Receiving Calls
The HOCO Y100 supports 2G network calls. Once a SIM card is installed and configured, the watch can make and receive calls from pre-approved contacts. You can manage up to 10 contacts and reject calls from unknown numbers via the companion app.

6.2 Location Tracking (LBS)
The watch uses LBS (Location Based Service) for positioning, allowing real-time monitoring of the child's location through the companion app. You can also set up electronic fences to define safe zones and receive alerts if the child leaves or enters these areas.

8. Troubleshooting
If the watch fails to connect to the server for the first time and displays "no network", please follow these steps to troubleshoot:
- Check SIM Card Compatibility: Verify that the SIM card inserted in the watch is GSM compatible.
- SIM Card Insertion and Data: Ensure the SIM card is inserted correctly and the screen displays normally. Confirm that the SIM card has data flow activated.
- IP, Port, and ID Verification: Verify if the IP, port, and device ID are correct. Ensure the phone number associated with the watch in the app matches the device's actual phone number. Users can send the message 'pw1234$6ts#' from their phone to the watch to check the device's ID (the watch must have the SIM card inserted and powered on).
- Registration Issues: If you cannot register on the phone, there are two common scenarios:
- The registration number does not exist or has already been registered.
- Your registered account name has already been taken. Please choose a different new account name.
9. User Tips
- For optimal location tracking, ensure the watch has a clear line of sight to cellular towers. LBS positioning accuracy can vary based on network coverage.
- Regularly check the watch's battery level, especially before long outings, to ensure continuous functionality.
- Utilize the 'Classroom Mode' feature to minimize distractions during school hours, promoting better focus for your child.
- Familiarize your child with the SOS button and when to use it in case of an emergency.
