Operating Instructions
Vertical Shooting Controls
The battery grip is equipped with multiple function control buttons and custom buttons to achieve the same feeling while shooting vertically or horizontally. These include a shutter release button, main and sub command dials, AF ON button, Fn button, and multi selector.

Hot Swapping Batteries
The MB-N12 supports hot swapping, allowing you to replace one of the batteries without turning the camera off, provided two batteries are installed in the grip. This ensures continuous shooting without interruption.

Charging Batteries in Grip
You can charge EN-EL15c batteries inside the vertical grip using a separately purchased USB Type C cable. Please note that EN-EL15a and EN-EL15 batteries cannot be charged inside the battery grip.

Using the 2.4G Remote Control
The 2.4G remote control allows wireless operation from up to 131' (40m) away. It can be used to choose the number of continuous images, set shooting delay, exposure delay, and intervals. The backlit LCD screen provides clear visual feedback on settings.
Tripod Connection
A 1/4" tripod socket on the bottom of the battery grip allows connection to camera stands, tripods, monopods, or camera sliders. This is ideal for long exposure photography and time-lapse videos.
