7. Troubleshooting

  • Doorbell not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. Check that the Wi-Fi password is correct. Move the doorbell closer to your router to improve signal strength.
  • No push notifications: Verify that app notifications are enabled in your phone's settings and within the Tuya Smart Life app. Check if the doorbell is online in the app.
  • Poor video quality: Ensure a strong Wi-Fi connection. Clean the camera lens.
  • Two-way audio issues: Check your phone's microphone and speaker settings. Ensure the doorbell's microphone and speaker are not obstructed.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the doorbell is fully charged. Reduce motion detection sensitivity or frequency if it's triggering too often.
  • Chime not ringing: Ensure the chime is plugged in and powered. Re-pair the chime with the doorbell if necessary. Check the volume settings.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: For best motion detection and viewing angle, install the doorbell at a height of approximately 1.2 to 1.5 meters (4 to 5 feet) from the ground.
  • Wi-Fi Signal: If your Wi-Fi signal is weak at the door, consider using a Wi-Fi extender to ensure stable connectivity.
  • Privacy: Utilize the voice changer feature for added privacy, especially when children are home alone.
  • Regular Charging: Establish a routine for charging the doorbell battery to avoid unexpected power loss. The app will provide low battery reminders.
