Adjusting Blade Length (Without Comb)
The clipper features an adjustable pole for fine-tuning blade length without a comb:
- Locate the adjustable pole on the side of the clipper.
- Move the lever up or down to adjust the blade length. This is referred to as the '4th Gear' adjustment.
- This allows for precise control over cutting length for fading and detailing.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Clipper
- After each use, turn off the clipper and detach any limit comb.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blade and the clipper body.
- For thorough cleaning, you may carefully remove the blade assembly (refer to specific instructions if available, otherwise proceed with caution).
- Wipe the clipper body with a dry cloth. Do not rinse the clipper under water unless explicitly stated as waterproof (this model is not specified as waterproof).
Blade Lubrication
Regular lubrication of the blades is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Since machine maintenance oil is not included due to shipping restrictions, it is recommended to purchase a suitable clipper oil separately. Apply a few drops of oil to the blades after every few uses, especially after cleaning, and run the clipper for a few seconds to distribute the oil evenly.
Troubleshooting
- Clipper not turning on: Ensure the clipper is fully charged. Check the USB cable and power source.
- Reduced cutting performance: Clean the blades thoroughly to remove any trapped hair. Lubricate the blades with clipper oil. Ensure the blades are not damaged or dull.
- Unusual noise: A low motor noise is normal. If the noise is excessively loud or unusual, ensure the blade assembly is correctly seated and free from obstructions.
- Battery not holding charge: Ensure the charging cable and adapter are working correctly. If the issue persists, the battery may need servicing.
User Tips
- For best results, always use the clipper on clean, dry hair.
- Start with a longer comb length and gradually reduce it if you desire a shorter cut.
- Move the clipper slowly and steadily for an even cut.
- Regularly clean and oil the blades to maintain sharpness and prevent hair pulling.
- Keep the clipper charged to avoid interruptions during use.
