3. Device Layout and Buttons

4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your AUTOPHIX OM126P scanner:
- Locate the OBDII Port: The OBDII port is usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side of the vehicle. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual if you cannot find it.
- Connect the Scanner: Plug the OBDII connector cable from the OM126P into your vehicle's OBDII port.

5.1 Diagnostic Menu Functions
- Read Codes: Retrieves Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the vehicle's computer.
- Erase Codes: Clears DTCs from the vehicle's computer and turns off the Check Engine Light (MIL).
- I/M Readiness: Checks the status of emission-related monitoring systems to determine if the vehicle is ready for an emissions test.
- Data Stream: Displays real-time data parameters from the vehicle's sensors in numerical or graphical format.
- Freeze Frame: Shows a snapshot of operating conditions at the moment an emission-related fault occurred.

- Review the recorded DTC: Allows you to view previously recorded DTCs.

5.2 Using Specific Functions
- Reading and Clearing DTCs:
From the main menu, select 'Read Codes' to view current, pending, and manufacturer-specific codes. To clear codes, select 'Erase Codes'. Confirm the action when prompted. - I/M Readiness Check:
Press the dedicated 'I/M' hotkey or select 'I/M Readiness' from the menu. The scanner will display the status of various monitors (e.g., Misfire, Fuel System, O2 Sensor) as 'OK', 'INC' (Incomplete), or 'N/A' (Not Applicable). - Viewing Live Data Stream:
Select 'Data Stream' from the menu. You can choose specific parameters to view in real-time, either numerically or graphically. This helps in analyzing vehicle performance and identifying anomalies.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Software Updates
The AUTOPHIX OM126P offers lifetime free online software upgrades to ensure compatibility with newer vehicles and updated diagnostic protocols.
- System Requirements: The update software supports Windows 7/8/10. For Windows 7, you may need to install a driver. Other Windows systems can run the update software directly.
- Connect to PC: Use the provided USB cable to connect the OM126P to your computer.
