7. Troubleshooting
- No Display on Main Unit:
- Ensure the USB power cable is securely connected and plugged into a working power source.
- If using batteries, check that they are inserted correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary. - Outdoor Sensor Not Connecting/Displaying Data:
- Verify that the outdoor sensor has fresh batteries installed with correct polarity.
- Ensure the sensor is within the 60-meter transmission range of the main unit and there are no major obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects) between them.
- Try moving the sensor closer to the main unit temporarily to establish connection.
- If the issue persists, remove batteries from both the main unit and sensor, wait a few minutes, then reinsert batteries into the sensor first, followed by the main unit to force re-pairing. - Inaccurate Temperature/Humidity Readings:
- Ensure the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight, rain, or other extreme weather conditions that could skew readings. Place it in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
- Allow some time (up to an hour) for the sensors to stabilize and provide accurate readings after initial setup or relocation. - Backlight Not Staying On:
- Continuous backlight operation requires the main unit to be powered via the USB power cable. If running on batteries, the backlight is designed to turn off after 15 seconds to conserve power.
8. User Tips
No specific user tips were available from provided reviews or Q&A. For optimal performance, ensure the outdoor sensor is placed in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct precipitation and sunlight to get accurate temperature and humidity readings. Regularly check and replace batteries in both units to maintain consistent operation.
