5. Setup Guide
5.1 Battery Installation (Transmitter)
The C7 MINI transmitter can be powered by 4 AA batteries or a 2S LiPo lithium battery. The battery compartment is located on the back of the transmitter.
To install batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
- Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Alternatively, for a 2S LiPo battery, connect it directly to the 2S lithium battery balance port inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
5.2 External Power Supply (Transmitter)
For indoor testing or extended use, the transmitter can be powered via an external DC 6V power supply. The port is located on the side of the transmitter.
5.3 Receiver Binding (Frequency Matching)
To establish communication between the transmitter and receiver, frequency matching (binding) is required:
- Ensure the receiver is powered on.
- Press the touch button on the receiver.
- Turn on the power switch of the remote control (transmitter).
- The frequency matching should now be successful, indicated by a solid light on the receiver.
6. Operation
6.1 Basic Controls
Refer to Figure 1 for the location of all controls. The main control sticks (rockers) control the primary movements of your model. Trim buttons are used for fine adjustments to ensure stable flight/movement.
6.2 Key Lock
The Key Lock feature prevents accidental input. When activated, the keys become invalid to prevent misoperation.
6.3 Speed Lock (Car/Boat Mode)
In car or boat mode, the Speed Lock function can be engaged. When speed lock is turned on, models with a differential structure will maintain a consistent speed without changes, providing stable control.
6.4 Travel Setting
The Travel Setting allows you to limit the range of movement for the rudder surface, ensuring it operates within your desired parameters.
6.5 Language Switch
The transmitter supports both Chinese and English languages. You can switch between them via the system settings menu.
6.6 Simulation Training
The C7 MINI transmitter can be connected to a computer via its audio interface for simulation training, allowing you to practice controlling your RC model in a virtual environment.
6.7 Runaway Protection
The system includes runaway protection settings. If the receiver loses signal from the transmitter (e.g., transmitter turned off, or model goes out of range), it will return to a pre-set out-of-control protection value to minimize damage to the model.
