To install batteries:

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Alternatively, for a 2S LiPo battery, connect it directly to the 2S lithium battery balance port inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

5.2 External Power Supply (Transmitter)

For indoor testing or extended use, the transmitter can be powered via an external DC 6V power supply. The port is located on the side of the transmitter.

5.3 Receiver Binding (Frequency Matching)

To establish communication between the transmitter and receiver, frequency matching (binding) is required:

  1. Ensure the receiver is powered on.
  2. Press the touch button on the receiver.
  3. Turn on the power switch of the remote control (transmitter).
  4. The frequency matching should now be successful, indicated by a solid light on the receiver.

6. Operation

6.1 Basic Controls

Refer to Figure 1 for the location of all controls. The main control sticks (rockers) control the primary movements of your model. Trim buttons are used for fine adjustments to ensure stable flight/movement.

6.2 Key Lock

The Key Lock feature prevents accidental input. When activated, the keys become invalid to prevent misoperation.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the transmitter and receiver. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
  • Battery Care: Always use appropriate chargers for LiPo batteries. Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the manufacturer's website periodically for any available firmware updates for improved performance or new features.

9. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Check battery installation and charge level. Ensure the power switch is fully engaged. If using external power, verify the power supply.
  • No Signal/Loss of Control:
    • Ensure the transmitter and receiver are properly bound (frequency matched).
    • Check the distance between the transmitter and receiver; ensure it's within the specified control range.
    • Verify there are no major obstructions or sources of interference (e.g., other 2.4GHz devices) in the operating area.
    • Check receiver and transmitter antenna placement.
  • Controls Not Responding Correctly:
    • Check if the Key Lock function is active on the transmitter.
    • Verify servo/ESC connections to the receiver are correct.
    • Recalibrate your model's flight controller or ESCs if necessary.
  • Display Issues: Ensure the screen is not exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, although the backlit display is designed for visibility in sunlight.

10. User Tips

  • Auxiliary Channels (7 & 8): Channels 7 and 8 are typically used for auxiliary functions on your model. These can include controlling landing gear, flaps, lights, smoke systems, or other additional accessories, depending on your model's capabilities.
  • Compatibility: The MicroZone C7 MINI transmitter is designed to work with MicroZone brand receivers, specifically listing models like MC8RE-V2, MC9002, MC6RE-V2, MC7RB-V2, MC3RB, MC4RB, MC6RE, MC7RB, E6R-E, and M-BUS. It is generally not compatible with receivers from other brands such as Spektrum or Orange, as these systems use different proprietary protocols.
  • Outdoor Visibility: The backlit display ensures that the operation page can be viewed normally even in direct sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor use.
