Setup and Wearing

Distinguishing Left and Right Earphones

The earphone housings are embossed with "L" (Left) and "R" (Right) markings at the upper end. Please pay attention to these markings and adjust the earphones to a suitable position in your ears to ensure proper sound perception and comfort.

Ear-tips Usage

The U-2 earbuds are designed based on the B&K5128 standard, featuring a realistic ear canal and auricle structure. They are tuned to deliver exceptional sound quality without the need for sponge ear-tips. Therefore, the use of sponge ear-tips is not recommended, as it may lead to excessive bass and negatively impact overall sound quality.

Connecting the Earbuds

The U-2 earbuds feature a 3.5mm standard single-ended plug. Connect this plug to the 3.5mm audio output jack of your audio device (e.g., smartphone, digital audio player, computer). Ensure the plug is fully inserted for a secure connection and optimal sound.

Operating Instructions

Audio Playback

Once connected, you can play audio from your device. Adjust the volume directly on your audio source. The MOONDROP U2 earbuds do not feature integrated volume controls or control buttons.

Cable Design

The U-2 uses a twisted-pair silver-plated cable to ensure reliable transmission of audio signals. The 3.5mm standard single-ended plug is compatible with mainstream audio output devices.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Regularly clean your earphones to prevent sound quality degradation caused by filter clogging or diaphragm contamination. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces. Avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals.

Storage

Proper storage helps prolong the life of your earphones and reduces the probability of failure. Avoid using cable tidies or organizers that might cause irreversible damage to the cable. Incorrect or rough storage methods can lead to issues such as single earpiece silence, cavity shell opening, or cable damage. Store the earbuds in the provided storage bag when not in use.

Troubleshooting and Important Notices

• **Sound Quality Issues**: If you experience sound quality degradation, check for filter clogging or diaphragm contamination and clean the earphones as described in the Maintenance section.
• **Earphone Failure**: For issues like single earpiece silence, cavity shell opening, or cable damage, refer to the after-sales terms for warranty information.
• **Safety**: Do not use earphones when driving, riding, or crossing the road to ensure your safety.
• **Static Electricity**: In winter or dry environments, the metal structure on the surface of the earphones may cause a slight tingling sensation. This is a normal phenomenon caused by static electricity in the body or clothes.
• **Hearing Protection**: Listening at excessively high volumes for prolonged periods can cause irreversible hearing damage. Always listen at an appropriate volume to protect your hearing.
• **Comfort**: Wearing earphones for too long may cause ear canal congestion due to compression. If your ear canals feel uncomfortable, stop using the earphones.
• **Health Concerns**: Avoid wearing earphones while sleeping. If you experience tinnitus, inflammation, ear canal abscess, or other symptoms, discontinue use and seek medical care.

This, combined with a flexible suspension compound, delivers a full-frequency response range and balanced three-frequency distribution, resulting in fine details and smooth natural timbre.

• **Resonance - Air Viscosity Damping**: Paying homage to classic acoustic designs, the structure is optimized and improved based on modern manufacturing technology. This optimizes the resonance effect of the brass tube on timbre and the effect of air viscosity damping on the bass, producing a unique sound texture without the need for sponge covers, and bringing out the full potential of the bass.

• **Optimal Listening Volume**: Always maintain a moderate listening volume to protect your hearing over time.
• **Avoid Prolonged Use**: If you experience discomfort or fatigue, take breaks from wearing the earphones.
• **No Integrated Microphone**: Please note that these earbuds do not include an integrated microphone for calls.

Warranty and Support

Warranty Terms

If the product experiences a non-human caused failure from the date of shipment, it can be returned within 7 days, replaced within 15 days, and repaired free of charge within 12 months. Damage due to improper use will incur a paid repair service.

For warranty claims, contact the seller and follow their guidance, providing the device, package, and purchase receipt. This device is a precise electronic product; avoid dampness, dust, high/low temperatures, pulling, collision, and squeezing to prevent damage that could invalidate the warranty.

The warranty does not cover cable breakage, shell deformation, water damage, dust, corrosion, broken pins, tuning material damage, or unit damage. If repair is not possible due to product upgrades within the warranty period, a replacement service will be provided, but the warranty period will not be extended beyond the original term unless the issue is confirmed as poor build quality by MOONDROP after-service center, in which case the warranty period will be prolonged to 60 days from the completion date of repair/replace if it was less or equal to 60 days; otherwise, it will stay as the original warranty period. Products with expired warranty periods may not be eligible for repair service.

Repair service will not be provided if the device shell or core parts are seriously deformed due to external force. The after-sales service period is generally 7-20 days (excluding transportation time), depending on the repair department.
