- Download and install the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app.
- Register or log in to your account.
- **For WiFi Downlight:** Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. The downlight will automatically enter pairing mode when first powered on or after a reset (turn on/off 3 times). In the app, tap "+" to add a device and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the downlight.
- **For Zigbee Downlight:** A Zigbee gateway (hub) is required for full functionality. Ensure your Zigbee gateway is already set up and connected to the app. The downlight will automatically enter pairing mode when first powered on or after a reset. In the app, add a new device and select the Zigbee downlight, then follow the instructions to pair it with your gateway.

**Note:** Zigbee downlights offer faster connection and more stable performance compared to WiFi. They do not work with Apple Homekit or the entertainment functionality (Sync).

- **On/Off:** Tap the light icon to turn the light on or off.

- **Scene Modes:** Select from various pre-set scenes (e.g., Night, Read, Work, Leisure, Soft, Colorful, Dazzling, Gorgeous) or create custom scenes.
- **Timer Control:** Set schedules for the lights to turn on/off at specific times.
- **Countdown:** Set a countdown timer for the light to turn off.
- **Music Sync (Microphone Sound Activated):** The light can change colors and brightness in sync with music or ambient sounds detected by your phone's microphone.
