Operating Your Mouse
Buttons and Functions
The HELIOS II XD3 V3 features 6 programmable buttons. By default, these buttons perform standard mouse functions (left click, right click, scroll wheel click, forward, backward, DPI cycle). You can customize these functions using the FANTECH software (available for download from the official FANTECH website).

DPI Adjustment
The mouse is equipped with a Pixart PAW 3395 optical sensor, offering up to 26000 DPI. You can cycle through preset DPI levels using the dedicated DPI button, typically located on the top of the mouse behind the scroll wheel. Fine-tune DPI settings and create custom profiles via the FANTECH software.
Polling Rate
The mouse operates at a 1000Hz polling rate, ensuring rapid and responsive communication with your computer.
Charging the Mouse
The HELIOS II XD3 V3 has a built-in 300mAh rechargeable battery. When the battery is low, connect the mouse to your computer using the Type-C to USB cable. The mouse can be used while charging.
Ergonomics and Grip Styles
The symmetrical design of the HELIOS II XD3 V3 is built for universal comfort, accommodating both left-handed and right-handed users. It supports various grip styles for optimal control.

- Palm Grip: Recommended for hand sizes 15-18cm.
- Claw Grip: Recommended for hand sizes 18-20cm, with a width of 7.5-10cm.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance and hygiene, regularly clean your mouse. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the mouse's internal components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
PTFE Dot Skates
The mouse comes with a set of PTFE Dot Skates for smooth gliding. Over time, these may wear out. You can replace them with the included spare set or purchase new ones from authorized FANTECH retailers. Ensure the mouse surface is clean before applying new skates.
Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding:
- Check the connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged in, or the wireless receiver is properly inserted and the mouse is in the correct wireless mode (2.4GHz or Bluetooth).
- Check battery level: If using wirelessly, the battery might be depleted. Connect the mouse via USB cable to charge it.
- Try a different USB port or device to rule out port/device issues.
- Intermittent connection/lag:
- For wireless connections, ensure the receiver is close to the mouse and there are no obstructions or sources of interference (e.g., other wireless devices, large metal objects).
- Ensure the mouse is fully charged.
- Sensor not tracking accurately:
- Clean the mouse sensor with a soft, dry cloth.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (a good quality mouse pad is recommended).
- Check DPI settings; they might be too high or too low for your preference.
- Buttons not responding:
- Ensure the mouse is properly connected and powered on.
- If using custom button assignments, check the FANTECH software for correct configuration.
