4. Setup and Connectivity

4.1 Charging the Mouse

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse. Connect the provided USB/Type-C cable to the mouse and a power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The mouse supports charging while in use.

4.2 Connecting the Mouse

The REDRAGON G62 offers three connection modes:

2.4G Wireless Mode

  1. Locate the 2.4G USB receiver (dongle) in the package.
  2. Plug the 2.4G receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. On the underside of the mouse, slide the BT/OFF/2.4G switch to the '2.4G' position.
  4. The mouse should automatically connect to your computer.

Bluetooth Mode

  1. On the underside of the mouse, slide the BT/OFF/2.4G switch to the 'BT' position.
  2. Press the 'BT to code key' button (Button 8 on the underside, refer to Function Buttons diagram). The mouse will enter pairing mode.
  3. On your computer or device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select 'REDRAGON G62' (or similar) from the list of available devices to pair.
  5. The mouse supports connection to up to three devices and fast switching between them.

Wired Mode

  1. Connect the provided USB/Type-C cable to the mouse's charging port and to a USB port on your computer.
  2. The mouse will automatically switch to wired mode and begin charging.

5. Operation

5.1 Function Buttons

The REDRAGON G62 mouse features 6 programmable buttons. Refer to the diagram below for button identification:

5.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse has 5 on-board DPI levels that can be adjusted using the DPI adjustment button (Button 4). The default levels are 1000/2000/4000/8000/26000. You can customize these DPI levels using the REDRAGON software.

5.3 Programmable Buttons and Macros

All 6 buttons are programmable. You can customize tactical keybinds and macros using the dedicated REDRAGON software. This allows for personalized control in games and applications.

5.4 Light Mode

The mouse features switchable light effects. You can cycle through breathing, normal, or turn off the lighting to suit your preference or save battery life.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure no moisture enters the mouse's internal components. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Battery Care

The mouse has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. To prolong battery life:

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the mouse when the battery indicator is low.
  • If not using the mouse for an extended period, store it with a partial charge (around 50%).
  • The auto-sleep function helps conserve battery when idle. To wake the mouse, simply press one of the left/center/right buttons or move the cursor.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Mouse Not Responding

  • Check Battery: Ensure the mouse is charged. Connect it via the data cable to charge and use in wired mode.
  • Check Connection Mode: Verify the BT/OFF/2.4G switch is in the correct position for your desired connection type.
  • 2.4G Wireless: Ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port. Try a different USB port.
  • Bluetooth: Re-pair the mouse with your device. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Wired Mode: Ensure the data cable is securely connected to both the mouse and the computer.

7.2 Lag or Disconnections

  • Interference: Move the mouse closer to the 2.4G receiver or Bluetooth device. Avoid obstacles between the mouse and receiver.
  • Battery Level: Low battery can affect wireless performance. Charge the mouse.
  • USB Port: Try plugging the 2.4G receiver into a different USB port, preferably a USB 2.0 port if available, to avoid potential interference from USB 3.0.

7.3 DPI Not Changing

  • Ensure you are pressing the correct DPI adjustment button (Button 4).
  • If custom DPI settings are not applying, check the REDRAGON software for proper configuration.
