2. Safety Information
WARNING:
- Read the instruction manual thoroughly before use.
- Do not use the tool without appropriate dies.
- Do not crimp on live cables or conductors.
- Only crimp copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al) materials.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves.
3. Setup and Die Replacement
The tool comes with 8 die sets for various cable sizes. Ensure you select the correct die size for your application.
Die Replacement Steps:
- Rotary Pull Out Metal Bar: Locate the fixed bolt on the crimping head. Pull it out to release the existing dies.
- Push the Die Down the Groove: Insert the desired crimping dies into the grooves on the crimping head. Ensure they are seated correctly.
- Metal Bar is Pushed Back to Complete the Replacement: Reinsert the fixed bolt to secure the dies in place.

4. Operating Instructions
Crimping Process:
- Install the Mould: Ensure the correct dies are installed and secured as described in Section 3.
- Tighten the Valve: Locate the oil return valve. Tighten it clockwise to the "ON" position to build pressure for crimping.
- Crimping: Insert the terminal and cable into the dies. Pump the handles repeatedly until the dies meet and the crimp is complete.
- Complete: Once the crimp is finished, loosen the oil return valve counterclockwise to the "OFF" position to release pressure. The dies will retract, allowing you to remove the crimped terminal.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the dies and the crimping head to remove any debris or metal shavings.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a light coat of oil to moving parts and the dies to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- Oil Level Check: Regularly check the hydraulic oil level. If low, refill with appropriate hydraulic oil (not included).
- Storage: Store the tool in its thickened plastic case in a dry, clean environment to protect it from damage and corrosion.
- Inspection: Before each use, inspect the tool for any signs of wear, damage, or oil leakage. Do not use if damaged.

6. Troubleshooting
- Tool not crimping effectively:
- Ensure the oil return valve is fully tightened to the "ON" position.
- Verify that the correct die size is selected for the terminal and cable.
- Check for sufficient hydraulic oil level.
- Oil leakage:
- Inspect seals and connections for damage. If leakage persists, discontinue use and seek professional service.
- Dies not retracting:
- Ensure the oil return valve is fully loosened to the "OFF" position.
- Check for any obstructions in the die mechanism.

8. User Tips
- Pre-planning: Always double-check the cable gauge and terminal size against the selected die size before crimping to ensure a proper fit and secure connection.
- Clean Connections: For optimal conductivity and a strong crimp, ensure both the cable and terminal are clean and free of oxidation or insulation residue.
- Full Crimp Cycle: Always complete the full crimping cycle until the dies meet. This ensures maximum pressure is applied for a durable connection.
- Practice: If you are new to hydraulic crimping, practice on scrap pieces of cable and terminals to get a feel for the tool and achieve consistent results.
