5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, turn off the mouse to conserve battery life. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Recharge it when the battery indicator shows low power.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Mouse Not Connecting/Responding
- Check Power: Ensure the mouse is turned on and has sufficient battery charge.
- USB Receiver: Verify the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port on your computer. Try a different USB port if necessary.
- Re-pairing: In rare cases, you might need to re-pair the mouse with its receiver. Consult the manufacturer's website for specific re-pairing instructions if this issue persists.
6.2 Cursor Lagging or Unresponsive
- DPI Setting: Adjust the DPI setting to a higher level if the cursor feels too slow.
- Surface: Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface. Highly reflective or uneven surfaces can affect tracking.
- Interference: Move the mouse closer to the USB receiver. Other wireless devices or large metal objects might cause interference.
- Battery Level: A low battery can sometimes cause performance issues. Recharge the mouse.
6.3 Charging Issues
- Cable Connection: Ensure the USB charging cable is properly connected to both the mouse and the power source.
- Power Source: Try a different USB power source or charging cable to rule out a faulty component.
