Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your Wonlink WiFi Repeater:
- Power On: Plug the WiFi Repeater into an electrical outlet. Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize.
- Connect to Repeater's WiFi: On your phone or computer, connect to the WiFi network named 'xxxxx-2G' or 'xxxxx-5G' (the exact name will be on the device label).
- Access Setup Page: Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) and type
192.168.10.1into the address bar. Press Enter. - Login: When prompted, enter the default password, which is typically 'admin'. Click 'Login'.
- Select Operating Mode: Choose your desired operating mode (e.g., Repeater Mode to extend an existing WiFi network).
- Select WiFi Network: Scan for available WiFi networks and select the one you wish to extend.
- Enter Password: Enter the correct password for your existing WiFi network.
- Connect: Wait for the repeater to connect and configure. Once complete, you can connect your devices to the new extended WiFi network (its name might be your original network name with '_EXT' or similar suffix).

Operating Modes
The Wonlink WiFi Repeater supports multiple operating modes:
- Repeater/Bridge Mode: Extends the range of an existing wireless network. It connects to your main router wirelessly and rebroadcasts the signal, amplifying coverage.
- AP (Access Point) Mode: Converts a wired network connection into a wireless one. Connect the repeater to your router via an Ethernet cable, and it will create a new WiFi hotspot.
- Router Mode: Functions as a primary router, creating a new private network. Connect it to a modem via an Ethernet cable.
- Client Mode: Allows wired-only devices (like smart TVs or gaming consoles) to connect to a wireless network. The repeater connects wirelessly to your main router and provides an Ethernet port for the wired device.

Key Features
- Dual-Band Connectivity: Operates on both 2.4GHz (300Mbps) and 5GHz (867Mbps) frequencies for a combined speed of up to 1200Mbps, providing faster and more stable connections.
- Wide Coverage: Equipped with 4 high-gain external antennas to significantly expand WiFi range and eliminate dead spots, covering areas up to 120m².
- MU-MIMO Technology: Improves network communication efficiency by allowing the repeater to communicate with multiple devices simultaneously, increasing overall capacity.
- Wired Ethernet Port: Includes a 10/100Mbps WAN/LAN RJ45 Ethernet port for connecting wired devices like PCs, gaming consoles, or smart TVs, offering stable and fast wired connections.
- WPS Button: Simplifies setup and connection to your existing router with a single press of the WPS button.
- Broad Compatibility: Compatible with approximately 99% of routers and other networking devices on the market.

User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best performance, place the repeater halfway between your router and the area where you need improved WiFi coverage. Avoid placing it near large metal objects, concrete walls, or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Signal Amplification: This device is designed to amplify and extend an existing WiFi signal. Ensure your main router is providing a stable signal to the repeater for effective extension. It is compatible with most standard WiFi networks, including those from various ISPs.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Ventilation: Ensure the device is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not block the ventilation holes.
- Power Cycle: If you experience intermittent connectivity issues, try power cycling the device (unplug it, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in).
Troubleshooting
- Cannot access the setup page (192.168.10.1):
- Ensure your device (phone/computer) is connected to the repeater's WiFi network (e.g., 'xxxxx-2G' or 'xxxxx-5G'), not your main router's WiFi.
- Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
- Restart the repeater and try again. - No internet access after setup:
- Verify that your main router has an active internet connection.
- Re-run the setup process, ensuring you enter the correct password for your main WiFi network.
- Try relocating the repeater closer to your main router to ensure a strong signal connection. - Weak or unstable extended WiFi signal:
- Adjust the position of the repeater. It should be placed where it can receive a good signal from your main router and also provide coverage to the desired area.
- Avoid physical obstructions like thick walls or large metal objects.
- Check for potential interference from other electronic devices (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones). - Forgot login password for the repeater:
- Use the RESET button. With the repeater powered on, press and hold the RESET/WPS button for about 5-10 seconds until the lights flash. This will restore the device to factory default settings, and you can then reconfigure it using the default 'admin' password. - WPS connection failed:
- Ensure your main router supports WPS and that it is enabled.
- Press the WPS button on the repeater, then immediately press the WPS button on your main router within two minutes.
- If WPS continues to fail, use the web browser setup method.
