Introduction
The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini ASM01A is a portable, omnidirectional Bluetooth speaker designed for high-quality audio experiences both indoors and outdoors. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your speaker.
Setup
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-C adapter cable to the Type-C charging port on the speaker and a compatible power source (USB Type-C 5V 2A recommended). A full charge takes approximately 1.8 hours.
2. Power On/Off
- To Power On/Off: Short press the power button (
). - To Check Remaining Power: Short press the power button twice in succession.
- To Force Restart: Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
To connect your speaker to a device via Bluetooth 5.3:
- Ensure the speaker is powered on.
- Short press the Bluetooth button () to enter/exit Bluetooth pairing status. The indicator light will typically flash to show it's in pairing mode.
- On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini" from the list to connect.
4. NFC Connection (Xiaomi Hyper OS devices only)
For quick pairing with Xiaomi Hyper OS mobile phones:
- Ensure NFC is enabled on your Xiaomi Hyper OS phone.
- Gently tap your phone to the NFC sensing area on the top of the speaker.
- The speaker and phone will automatically connect. The speaker supports simultaneous connection with up to two mobile phones.

1. Button Functions
- Power Button ():
- Short press: Turn on/off.
- Short press twice: Check remaining power.
- Press and hold for 10 seconds: Force restart. - Volume Up Button (+):
- Short press: Increase volume.
- Long press: Continuously increase volume. - Play/Pause Button ():
- Short press: Play/pause music.
- Short press twice: Next song.
- Short press three times: Previous song. - Volume Down Button (-):
- Short press: Decrease volume.
- Long press: Continuously decrease volume. - Bluetooth Button ():
- Short press: Turn on/off Bluetooth pairing status.
- Short press twice: Turn on/off combination pairing status and exit combination mode.
- Press and hold for 2 seconds: Disconnect Bluetooth connection.
2. RGB Ambient Lighting
The speaker features an RGB ambient light belt on its top, which provides sound and light linkage when music is played. There are 4 built-in lighting effects that can be switched. Color adjustment and further customization can be done using the Mi Home APP (Note: Mi Home APP connection only supports mainland China region).
3. Stereo and Multi-Speaker Pairing
You can enhance your audio experience by connecting multiple speakers:
- Stereo Combination: Two Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini units can be paired to form a stereo sound system, providing a more immersive left and right channel experience.
- Multi-Speaker Series: Up to 8 Xiaomi Bluetooth speakers can be connected in series for a larger sound output.
Maintenance
1. Water and Dust Resistance (IP67)
The speaker is designed with IP67 dustproof and waterproof capabilities, making it suitable for outdoor use. The body is made of wear-resistant fabric and features an anti-collision soft rubber bottom to reduce impact damage. The outer layer has a hydrophobic coating.
Important Notes on IP67:
- This speaker is not a professional underwater device. The splash and dust resistance may decrease over time with normal use and wear.
- Do NOT charge the speaker underwater or in a humid environment.
- Damage caused by water intrusion is not covered by the warranty.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Troubleshooting
- Speaker not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. If it still doesn't turn on, try a force restart by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds.
- Cannot connect via Bluetooth: Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (short press Bluetooth button). Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that the speaker is within range. Try disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth on your device.
- NFC connection issues: Ensure your phone is a Xiaomi Hyper OS device and NFC is enabled. Make sure you are tapping the correct NFC sensing area on the speaker.
- Audio/Video sync issues during stereo pairing: The combined stereo function is primarily for music playback. When playing videos, audio and video may be out of sync to varying degrees due to device and network influences. This is normal behavior.
- Mi Home APP connection: The Mi Home APP connection area only supports mainland China. If you are outside this region, some APP features may not be available.
- Sound quality issues: Ensure the speaker is placed on a stable surface. Check the audio source quality. If issues persist, try restoring factory settings.
- To Restore Factory Settings: Press and hold the Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.

User Tips
- Stereo Experience: For an enhanced stereo experience, pair two Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Minis together. Remember that audio and video sync may vary when playing videos in stereo mode.
- Passive Radiator Vibration: When playing music, the passive radiator on the top of the speaker will vibrate up and down. This is normal operation and indicates the bass is working effectively.
