Installation Instructions
Warning: Installation should only be performed by a qualified technician. Disconnect all power to the air conditioning unit before proceeding with installation to prevent electric shock or damage to the unit.
- Safety First: Ensure the air conditioning unit is completely powered off and unplugged from the main power supply.
- Access the Existing Board: Carefully open the air conditioning unit's housing to gain access to the existing control board. Note the location and orientation of all connectors and wiring. Taking photos before disconnection is highly recommended.
- Disconnect Wiring: Systematically disconnect all wires and connectors from the old control board. Label each wire and its corresponding port to ensure correct re-connection.
- Remove Old Board: Unscrew or unclip the old control board from its mounting points.
- Install New Board: Place the new Hisense control board into the mounting position. Ensure it fits securely and align any mounting holes.
- Connect Wiring: Carefully re-connect all wires and connectors to the new control board, matching them to the labels made in step 3. Refer to the diagrams below for visual guidance. Ensure all connections are firm and secure.
- Secure the Board: Fasten the new control board using the appropriate screws or clips.
- Close Unit: Close the air conditioning unit's housing, ensuring all covers are properly secured.

Operation
The control board itself does not have direct user-operable controls. Its function is to process signals from the air conditioning unit's sensors and user interface (e.g., remote control, thermostat) and to control the various components of the AC system (e.g., compressor, fan, valves) to maintain desired temperature and air quality. Once installed, the air conditioning unit should operate as designed by the manufacturer.
Maintenance
The control board is a sealed electronic component and generally requires no routine maintenance. However, to ensure its longevity and proper function:
- Keep Dry: Ensure the area around the control board remains dry and free from moisture.
- Cleanliness: Periodically, and with power disconnected, gently clean any dust accumulation on and around the board using a soft brush or compressed air. Do not use liquids or harsh chemicals.
- Inspect Connections: During routine AC unit maintenance, visually inspect all connections to the control board for any signs of looseness or corrosion.
Troubleshooting
If your air conditioning unit is not functioning correctly after replacing the control board, consider the following:
- No Power: Check if the unit is receiving power. Ensure all power connections to the board are secure and the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Incorrect Wiring: Double-check all wire connections against your pre-disconnection photos or the unit's wiring diagram. Even a single misplaced wire can prevent proper operation.
- Loose Connections: Ensure all connectors are firmly seated on the board.
- Sensor Issues: Verify that all temperature and other sensors are correctly connected and functioning. A faulty sensor can send incorrect signals to the control board.
- Unit Specific Errors: Consult your air conditioning unit's primary user manual for specific error codes or diagnostic procedures.
- Professional Assistance: If the issue persists, it is recommended to contact a qualified HVAC technician for further diagnosis and repair.
User Tips
- Always take clear photos of the original wiring before disconnecting anything. This will serve as an invaluable reference during re-installation.
- Use appropriate tools for delicate electronic components to avoid accidental damage.
- When handling the board, avoid touching the electronic components directly to prevent static discharge damage.
