Operating the System
Arming and Disarming
The system can be armed or disarmed using the mobile application, the alarm host's keypad, or the provided remote controls.
APP Control
Directly connect to the phone through the APP for operation. The app provides full control over your alarm system, allowing you to arm, disarm, and manage settings from anywhere.
Real-time Notifications
Once a door/window is opened or motion is detected, a real-time notification will be triggered on your phone, enabling you to have a better idea of what's going on when you're not around.
Voice Intercom
If a compatible camera is linked to the system, you can use the voice intercom feature to communicate remotely, which can help scare away intruders.
SOS Alarm
The system includes an SOS alarm feature. In case of an emergency, such as an accident involving the elderly, pressing the SOS button can provide timely alerts for assistance.
Doorbell Prompt
With a smart intercom connected, the system can provide doorbell prompts, ensuring you don't miss deliveries or visitors.
Water Immersion Detector
When a water immersion detector is connected, the system will sound an alarm if the water level exceeds a set threshold, helping to prevent water damage.
Smoke Detector
Integrated smoke detectors will trigger an alarm and send notifications to your mobile phone, allowing you to observe the situation in time and take action.
Solar Siren
An external solar siren can be installed on the exterior wall to emit a high-decibel alarm sound, deterring intruders.
Device Sharing
You can share your home alarm system with family members by adding their mobile phone numbers or email addresses to the system, allowing multiple users to receive alerts and control the system.
Scheduled Arming/Disarming
Alarms can be automatically armed and disarmed based on a pre-determined schedule set through the application.
Alarm History
The alarm history is easily accessible from anywhere through the mobile application, allowing you to review past events and system activities.

Maintenance
- Power Supply: The alarm host is powered by DC 5V and includes a 24-hour battery backup for continuous operation during power outages.
- Sensor Batteries: Wireless sensors are typically battery-powered. Monitor battery levels through the app and replace batteries as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the alarm host and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Firmware Updates: Check the mobile application periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure your system has the latest features and security enhancements.
Troubleshooting
False Alarms
If sensors are triggering false alarms, check their placement and sensitivity settings. Ensure they are not exposed to drafts, direct sunlight, or pets if pet immunity is not enabled or effective. Verify that the sensor is securely mounted and not loose.
SIM Card Not Recognized
Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and that the alarm host is powered off before insertion. Verify that the SIM card is active and has sufficient balance/data. Check the product version and GSM 2G/4G compatibility as noted in the setup instructions.
No Power Failure Notifications
While the system has a battery backup, power failure notifications via SMS may require specific settings to be enabled in the app or on the alarm host. Ensure your SIM card is properly configured for SMS notifications and that the feature is activated.
Sensors Not Signaling Alarm or Random Alarms
Check the battery levels of the affected sensors. Re-pair the sensors with the alarm host if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions or interference between the sensors and the host. If random alarms occur without apparent cause, review the alarm history for clues and consider resetting the sensor or system.
System Password Reset
If you need to reset the system password, refer to the detailed instructions in the comprehensive user manual (PDF) available via the QR code in the 'Warranty and Support' section. This process typically involves specific steps on the alarm host's keypad.

User Tips
- Pet Immunity: While some motion detectors offer pet immunity, larger pets (e.g., dogs over 6kg) may still trigger alarms. Consider adjusting sensor placement or using specific pet-immune sensors if false alarms are an issue.
- Adding Accessories: The system is highly expandable. You can easily add more door/window sensors, motion detectors, remote controls, and sirens. Ensure any additional accessories are compatible with the PGST system.
- SIM Card for Notifications: For SMS and PSTN call notifications, a functional SIM card is essential. Even with WiFi connectivity, the SIM card provides an additional layer of communication, especially during internet outages.
- WiFi Compatibility: The system is designed to connect to 2.4 GHz WiFi networks. It is not compatible with 5 GHz WiFi. Ensure your router is configured to support 2.4 GHz.
- Remote Control: The mobile application allows for full remote control, including arming and disarming the alarm from anywhere with an internet connection.
- Main Unit Battery: The main alarm unit has a built-in backup battery. If you need to replace it, ensure you source a compatible battery with the correct connector type (e.g., 4-pin connector for PG-105).
