5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Mounting the Inverter

Choose a dry, well-ventilated location for mounting the inverter. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow, especially around the fan vents. Use the provided mounting screws to secure the inverter to a stable surface.

5.2 Connecting to a Battery

IMPORTANT: Ensure the inverter's main power switch is OFF before making any connections.

  1. Identify the Positive (+) and Negative (-) terminals on your 12V battery.
  2. Connect the RED battery cable to the Positive (+) terminal of the inverter and the Positive (+) terminal of the battery.
  3. Connect the BLACK battery cable to the Negative (-) terminal of the inverter and the Negative (-) terminal of the battery.
  4. Ensure all connections are tight and secure. Loose connections can cause excessive heat and damage.
  5. The inverter is compatible with 12V Lead-acid (AGM, GEL, FLD) and Lithium (Li-on) batteries. Ensure your battery voltage matches the inverter's input voltage (12V).

5.3 Grounding

For optimal safety, it is recommended to properly ground the inverter. Connect a grounding wire (not supplied) from the inverter's grounding terminal to a suitable earth ground point. Consult local electrical codes and a qualified electrician for proper grounding procedures.

5.4 Remote Controller Connection

Connect the ED-RC remote controller to the inverter using the provided RJ45 network cable. The remote controller allows you to monitor battery power, low-voltage alarms, and turn the inverter on/off from a distance.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

  1. After all connections are secure, switch the main power button on the inverter to the ON position.
  2. The digital tube display will show the battery voltage and output power, switching between them every second.
  3. To turn off the inverter, switch the main power button to the OFF position. The remote controller can also be used to turn the inverter on/off.

6.2 Connecting AC Appliances

Plug your 220V-240V AC appliances into the AC output sockets on the inverter. The inverter provides a continuous output of 2000W and a surge power of 4000W for 0.1 seconds, suitable for various home loads and power tools.

6.3 USB and Type-C Charging

The inverter features dual USB ports for charging mobile devices:

  • USB-A Port: Maximum output of 24W, supporting QC3.0, FCP, SCP, MTK PE+2.0, AFC, SFCP, and Super VOOC charging protocols.
  • Type-C Port: Maximum output of 27W, supporting PD3.0 charging protocol.

When both ports are used simultaneously, the maximum output from a single port is 18W, and the total combined power from both ports is 24W.

6.4 Soft Start Function

The inverter incorporates a soft start function, which allows it to gradually increase output voltage when starting, making it easier to run inductive and capacitive loads (e.g., motors, refrigerators, microwaves) without tripping protection circuits.

6.5 Intelligent Fan Control

The inverter features intelligent temperature control. The cooling fan activates when the load exceeds 600W or the internal temperature reaches 45°C. The fan speed adjusts automatically based on the load and temperature to maintain optimal operating conditions and minimize noise.
