The LM55 can store up to 8 sets of waveform data, each lasting 150 seconds, allowing users to review past measurements.

  1. Access History Mode: Navigate to the "Save" or "REC" option on the screen.
  2. Browse Records: Use the navigation buttons to select and browse through the stored records (e.g., Record_1 to Record_8).

6. Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
Inaccurate temperature readings:
Ensure the clamp jaws are making good contact with the object. Clean the sensor area if there is any dirt or residue. Verify the operating temperature range of the device is suitable for your environment.
Screen is dim or unreadable:
Adjust the screen brightness settings as described in Section 4.5. Check battery level.
Cannot record or view historical data:
Ensure you are following the steps in Section 4.3 correctly. The device stores a limited number of records; older records may be overwritten.

  • For consistent readings, ensure the clamp is fully closed around the measurement point.
  • When measuring pipes, try to clamp onto a clean, uninsulated section for best thermal transfer.
  • Utilize the data waveform display to observe temperature trends over time, which can be useful for diagnosing system performance.
