5.2. Wiring Instructions
To ensure the safety of your electrical installation, it is essential that either a Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) or a Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker (RCBO) with an electrical rating of 10A has been installed before the MINIR4M.
The MINIR4M supports various external switch types, including momentary, door exit, SPDT, and latching switches. Ensure all wires are connected correctly.
Important Notes:
- No matter if S1 and S2 are connected or left idle to the external switch, this device can be controlled by automation or the App.
- It is prohibited to connect S1 and S2 terminals to the neutral or ground wire, in order to avoid damaging the equipment and causing danger.
- Make sure all wires are connected correctly.

User Tip: The wiring diagrams provided typically show a single load (e.g., one light bulb). If you intend to control multiple light bulbs with a single MINIR4M, ensure the total wattage of all connected bulbs does not exceed the device's maximum power rating (2400W@240V or 10A Max). Connect multiple loads in parallel to the 'L Out' and 'N' terminals, ensuring proper insulation and safety.
5.3. Physical Installation
The MINIR4M's tiny size allows it to fit into various mounting boxes, including the smallest European standard ones. Ensure there is enough space for the device and wiring within the box.

6. Setup and Pairing
After powering on the device, it will enter the Pairing Mode by default during the first use. The Network indicator (blue LED) will flash in a cycle of two short and one long blinks.
The device will exit Pairing Mode if not paired within 10 minutes. To re-enter Pairing Mode, long press the button for 5 seconds until the Network indicator flashes in a cycle of two short and one long blinks, then release.
6.1. Method 1: Matter Pairing
For Matter pairing, you can use a Matter-compatible app such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Apple Home. Download the respective app if you haven't already.
- Open your preferred Matter-compatible App (e.g., Alexa App, Google Home App, or Apple Home App).
- Scan the Matter QR code found on the Quick Guide or directly on the device itself.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the app to add the device.

6.2. Method 2: eWeLink App Pairing
If you prefer to use the eWeLink App, follow these steps:
- Download the eWeLink App: Search for "eWeLink" in the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and install it.
- Power On the Device: Ensure the MINIR4M is powered on and in pairing mode (blue LED flashing two short, one long).
- Add Device in App:
- Open the eWeLink App.
- Tap the "+" icon or "Add Device" option.
- Select "Scan QR code" or follow the prompts to search for nearby devices.
- If prompted, long press the button on the MINIR4M for 5 seconds to ensure it's in pairing mode.
- Check the Wi-Fi LED indicator flashing status (two short and one long flashes).
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Once connected, the device will be added to your eWeLink account.
7. Operating Instructions
7.1. Manual Control
Press the physical button on the MINIR4M once to change the on/off state of the relay contacts, controlling the connected appliance.
7.2. App Control
Once paired, you can control the MINIR4M via the eWeLink App or your chosen Matter-compatible app (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa). This allows you to turn devices on/off remotely, set schedules, and create smart scenes.
7.3. Voice Control
Integrate the MINIR4M with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomeKit to control your connected devices using voice commands.
7.4. Detach Relay Mode
In "Detach Relay" mode, the states of external switches (S1/S2) and the internal relay are separated. This means operating the external switch button will not affect the relay's state. For example, if you enable this mode, your smart light will not go offline when you turn off the physical switch, and you can still control it via the app.

Image: Illustration of Detach Relay mode where a smart light remains online despite the physical switch being off.

Image: Illustration of normal operation without Detach Relay mode, where the physical switch directly controls the light.
7.5. Timer and Schedule Functions
Use the eWeLink App or your Matter-compatible app to set various timers (single, countdown, loop) and schedules to automate your appliances. For example, you can set lights to turn on automatically at 8:00 PM.
7.6. Smart Scenes
Create smart scenes by integrating the MINIR4M with other sensors (e.g., motion, door, window sensors) to automate actions based on specific triggers.

Image: Example of a smart scene where a motion sensor triggers a light.
7.7. Delay Power-on State
This feature provides additional protection by allowing you to set a delay for appliances to power on after a power outage. This prevents all appliances from turning on simultaneously, which could cause high currents and potential damage.

8. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and dry.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support if issues arise.
- Regularly check for firmware updates through the eWeLink App or your Matter-compatible app to ensure optimal performance and security.
9. Troubleshooting
9.1. Device Not Responding / Offline
- Check Power: Ensure the MINIR4M is receiving power.
- Wi-Fi Connection: Verify your Wi-Fi network is active and the device is within range. If using eWeLink, check the app for device status. For Matter, local communication should still work even without internet.
- Re-pair: If the device remains unresponsive, try re-entering pairing mode (long press button for 5s) and re-pairing it with your app.
- Router Issues: Restart your Wi-Fi router.
9.2. External Switch Not Working
- Wiring Check: Double-check the wiring connections for S1 and S2 terminals as per the installation diagrams. Ensure no loose connections.
- Switch Type: Confirm the external switch type is compatible (momentary, door exit, SPDT, latching).
- Detach Relay Mode: If "Detach Relay" mode is enabled, the physical switch will not directly control the load. Control via app or voice assistant.
9.3. Pairing Fails
- Pairing Mode: Ensure the device is in pairing mode (blue LED flashing two short, one long).
- Wi-Fi Credentials: Verify the Wi-Fi network name and password entered are correct.
- 2.4GHz Wi-Fi: The device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. Ensure your router is broadcasting on this frequency.
- Proximity: Keep your phone close to the MINIR4M during the pairing process.
- Router Settings: Some routers may have settings that interfere with smart device pairing. Consult your router's manual or ISP.
9.4. Overheating
- Load Check: Ensure the connected load does not exceed the maximum rating (10A Max / 2400W@240V).
- Ventilation: Ensure the installation location allows for adequate ventilation.
10. User Tips
- Matter Integration: When integrating with Matter, remember that you can generate a new setup code from one ecosystem app (e.g., Alexa) to sync the device to another (e.g., Apple Home). This allows for cross-platform control.
- Local Control: Take advantage of the local communication feature. Even if your internet goes down, your MINIR4M devices should still respond to commands within your local network, ensuring basic functionality.
- Automate with Scenes: Explore creating smart scenes with other sensors (motion, door/window) to automate daily routines and enhance convenience.
