1. Overview
The FeiyuTech SCORP 2 is a versatile 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer designed for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It features a built-in AI tracking module, a 1.3-inch touchscreen, and an integrated handle for enhanced control and comfort. The quick-release design allows for instant vertical filming setup without additional accessories.

2. Getting Started
2.1 Charging
Before initial use, fully charge the gimbal battery. Use the provided USB-C cable for charging. The gimbal supports quick charging with power up to 18W.
2.2 Adjust the Gimbal to Balancing Position
The gimbal is folded by default. Unlock all three axes and adjust the gimbal to its balancing position, then lock the axes. This prepares the gimbal for camera mounting and balancing.

2.3 Using Support Stand
The gimbal can be placed on a flat surface using its built-in kickstand or by attaching the included tripod.

3. Mounting the Camera
Before mounting your camera, ensure it is ready for shooting: lens installed, lens cover removed, memory card and battery inserted, and battery fully charged. The gimbal should be powered off or in sleep mode and adjusted to the balancing position.
3.1 Attach the Quick Release Plate and Camera Backing Base (Optional)
Attach the quick release plate to your camera by tightening the screw. For long or heavy lenses, attach the camera backing base to the camera, then secure it to the quick release plate with two screws.
3.2 Install Lens Holder (Optional)
If needed, install the lens holder on the quick release plate, ensuring the rubber part is directly under the lens. This is recommended for long or heavy lenses.
3.3 Mount Camera on Gimbal
Unlock the gimbal, slide the camera assembly into the slot, then lock it. Loosen the appropriate adjustment, slide the camera assembly as indicated, and adjust the camera forward and backward until it is roughly balanced. Finally, tighten the adjustment.

4. Gimbal Balancing
Proper balancing is crucial for optimal performance. Ensure the camera and lens are ready, and the gimbal is off or in sleep mode. It is recommended to hold the camera up while adjusting the slide arm, cross arm, and vertical arm.
4.1 Balancing the Tilt Axis
Unlock the tilt lock and loosen the slide arm lock. Rotate the tilt axis so the camera lens points upward. If the lens tilts to one side, move the slide arm in the opposite direction until the camera is steady. Tighten the slide arm lock while holding the camera. For depth adjustment, rotate the tilt axis so the lens points forward. If it tilts, unlock the quick release plate and move it in the opposite direction until steady. Lock the quick release plate. The tilt axis is balanced when the camera remains steady when tilted up or down by 45 degrees.
4.2 Balancing the Roll Axis
Unlock the roll lock. If the camera tilts to one side, loosen the cross arm lock knob and move the cross arm in the opposite direction until the camera is horizontal and steady. Tighten the cross arm lock knob. The roll axis is balanced when the camera stays still and horizontal.
4.3 Balancing the Pan Axis
Unlock the pan lock. Hold the tripod and tilt the gimbal forward until it is horizontal. If the camera tilts, loosen the vertical arm lock knob and move the vertical arm in the opposite direction until the camera is horizontal and steady. Tighten the vertical arm lock knob. The pan axis is balanced when the camera stays still and horizontal.
4.4 Using the Memory Slider
The Feiyu SCORP 2 includes a memory slider to simplify re-balancing. After balancing, move the memory slider to a hole in the axis so the red dot is exposed. This marks the current position. For future setups with the same equipment, simply align the red dot to quickly achieve balance.
5. Power ON/OFF & Wake Up
5.1 Power ON/OFF
Before powering on, ensure the gimbal is balanced and all three axes are unlocked. If axes are locked, the gimbal will enter sleep mode for protection. Long press the power button until you hear a beep to power on/off. For first-time use or after changing cameras/lenses, set motor power (refer to section 8.3.1).
5.2 Lock/Unlock Screen
Single tap the F2 button to lock the screen. Single tap F2 again to unlock.
5.3 Sleep/Wake Up
Double tap the power button to enter sleep mode. To wake up, single tap the power button or tap the 'Z' icon on the screen.
