5. Installation and Setup

5.1 Wiring Instructions

WARNING: Ensure all power is disconnected before attempting any wiring. Improper wiring can cause electric shock or damage to the device.

  1. Power Input: The power supply must enter the circuit breaker from the top terminals.
  2. Live and Neutral Connections: For single-phase systems, connect the Live wire to the 'L' pole and the Neutral wire to the 'N' pole. For multi-phase systems (3P, 4P), ensure correct phase (A, B, C) and neutral (N) connections as indicated on the device.
  3. Wiring Type: Always use a Live line + Neutral Line (L+N) configuration. A Live line + Live line (L+L) configuration is strictly prohibited.

5.2 Network Pairing (Tuya Smart Life App)

To enable smart features, connect the circuit breaker to your Wi-Fi network via the Tuya Smart Life app:

  1. Initial Wiring: After completing the physical wiring, ensure the Live wire is connected to the L pole and the Neutral wire to the N pole. Verify the wiring is correct and that you have a strong Wi-Fi signal in the installation area.
  2. App Preparation: Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your mobile phone. Open the Tuya Smart Life app (or @Smart app).
  3. Enter Pairing Mode: Long press the 'CFG/QUERY' button on the circuit breaker for approximately 5-10 seconds. The LED indicator on the device will begin to flash blue slowly, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  4. Add Device in App: In the app, a prompt should appear indicating 'Found devices to be added'. Click 'Add to'. If no prompt appears, manually add the device by selecting the appropriate device type (e.g., 'Smart Circuit Breaker').
  5. Connect to Wi-Fi: Enter your Wi-Fi network password in the app and proceed to the next step. Wait for the device to connect to the network.
  6. Connection Confirmation: After successful connection, the LED indicator on the circuit breaker will change from a red slow flashing light to a red steady light.

6. Operation

6.1 Manual Operation

  • Operating Handle: Use the physical operating handle on the front of the circuit breaker to manually switch it ON or OFF.
  • Test Button: The 'TEST' button allows you to manually test the leakage protection function. Pressing this button should trip the circuit breaker.

  • Circuit Breaker Trips Frequently:
    • Check the app for 'Abnormal operation' notifications to identify the cause (e.g., over-voltage, overload, leakage).
    • Inspect connected appliances for faults or excessive power draw.
    • Verify that the protection thresholds set in the app are appropriate for your load.
    • If the trip is due to voltage, the automatic reclosing function should restore power once voltage normalizes.
  • No Over/Under-Voltage Protection on 110V Systems: This is expected behavior as the feature is not available for 110V rated operating voltage.
  • Device is OFF after Power Disconnection/Reconnection: This is a safety feature. After a power outage, the product defaults to the OFF state. It must be manually or remotely turned ON.
