3. Setup Instructions

3.1 Bracket Installation

To set up your monitor, first install the detachable stand:

  1. Align the stand pieces with the mounting holes on the monitor's back.
  2. Secure the stand pieces using the provided screws and screwdriver.

3.2 Raspberry Pi Installation (Example: Raspberry Pi 3B)

The monitor is designed to allow direct mounting of a Raspberry Pi on its back. This section details the installation process using a Raspberry Pi 3B as an example.

  1. Mount the Raspberry Pi: Carefully align your Raspberry Pi (e.g., Pi 3B motherboard) with the designated mounting area on the back of the monitor and secure it with screws.
  2. Connect Power Cable: Connect the provided black/red power cable from the monitor's power supply pins to the corresponding GPIO pins on your Raspberry Pi.
  3. Connect HDMI Cable: Use the appropriate HDMI ribbon cable (mini HDMI for Raspberry Pi 4, standard HDMI for other models) to connect the HDMI output of your Raspberry Pi to the HDMI input on the monitor.
  4. Connect Touch Cable: Connect the 4-pin touch cable (USB) from the monitor's touch input to a USB port on your Raspberry Pi.

3.3 Powering On

Once all connections are made:

  1. Connect the monitor's power cord to the Micro USB port on the monitor.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The monitor should power on automatically. If not, press the 'Power' button on the side of the monitor.
