1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Redragon RGPS 700W 80 PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and safety.
2. Safety Information
- Always disconnect the power supply from the AC outlet before installation or maintenance.
- Do not open the power supply casing. High voltages are present inside, and there are no user-serviceable parts. Opening the casing will void the warranty.
- Install the power supply in a well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent damage to components.
- This product is designed for use in computer systems. Do not use it for any other purpose.
- Keep out of reach of children.
3. Package Contents
Verify that your package contains the following items:
- 1 x Redragon RGPS 700W Power Supply (Model: GC-PS005-1)
- Modular Cable Set (various cables for motherboard, CPU, PCIe, SATA, IDE connections)
- Mounting Screws
- User Manual (this document)
Note: The AC power cable is NOT included with this power supply and must be purchased separately.
4. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your Redragon RGPS 700W power supply:
4.1. Physical Installation
- Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged from the wall outlet.
- Open your computer case.
- If replacing an existing power supply, remove it by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting all cables from your components.
- Carefully place the Redragon RGPS 700W power supply into the designated PSU bay in your computer case. Ensure the fan is facing the correct direction for optimal airflow (usually facing down if there's a bottom vent, or facing into the case if there's no bottom vent).
- Secure the power supply to the case using the provided mounting screws.

4.2. Modular Cable Connections
This power supply features a modular design, allowing you to connect only the cables you need, reducing clutter and improving airflow. Refer to the image below for the modular cable ports.

- 24-Pin ATX Motherboard Connector: Connect the large 24-pin cable to the corresponding port on your motherboard. This is the primary power connector for the motherboard.
- 8-Pin CPU (4+4) Connector: Connect one or two 8-pin (or 4+4 pin) CPU cables to the CPU power ports on your motherboard. Modern motherboards often require an 8-pin connector, and some high-end boards may require two.
- PCI-E (6+2) Connectors: For graphics cards, connect the appropriate number of 6+2 pin PCI-E cables. This PSU supports up to four 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors.
- SATA Power Connectors: Use SATA power cables to connect to your SSDs, HDDs, and optical drives.
- IDE (Molex) Connectors: Use IDE power cables for older peripherals or case fans that require this type of connector.
- Ensure all connections are firm and properly seated. Avoid forcing connectors.
4.3. AC Power Connection
Once all internal components are connected:
- Connect your AC power cable (not included) to the power input socket on the rear of the power supply.
- Ensure the power switch on the rear of the power supply is in the OFF (O) position.
- Plug the other end of the AC power cable into a wall outlet or surge protector.

5. Operation
To power on your computer:
- Flip the power switch on the rear of the power supply to the ON (I) position.
- Press the power button on your computer case.
To power off your computer, shut down the operating system normally. Once the system is off, you may flip the power switch on the PSU to the OFF (O) position for complete power disconnection, especially during extended periods of non-use or maintenance.
6. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your power supply:
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the power supply and its fan grill to prevent dust buildup. Use compressed air to gently blow dust out of the fan and vents. Ensure the power supply is OFF and unplugged before cleaning.
- Airflow: Ensure your computer case has adequate airflow to prevent the power supply from overheating. Keep vents clear of obstructions.
- Cable Management: Good cable management not only improves aesthetics but also enhances airflow within the case, contributing to better cooling for all components, including the PSU.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your power supply, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
