5. Setup Guide
5.1 Initial Pairing with Imou Alarm Hub/Gateway
- Ensure your Imou Alarm Hub/Gateway is powered on and connected to your network.
- Power on your Imou ZTM1 sensor.
- Press the reset/pairing button on the sensor (refer to Figure 2 for location).
- Follow the instructions in the Imou Life app to complete the pairing process. The sensor should connect to the gateway with a single press.

5.2 Placement
The Imou ZTM1 sensor offers flexible placement options:
- Tabletop Stand: Use the included tabletop stand to place the sensor on any flat surface, such as a counter, desk, or shelf.
- Wall Mounting: Utilize the provided 3M sticker to securely attach the sensor to a wall. Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.

5.3 App Installation and Configuration
- Download the 'Imou Life' app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
- Register or log in to your Imou account.
- Add your Imou Alarm Hub/Gateway to the app, then add the ZTM1 sensor through the gateway.
- Configure settings such as alarm thresholds for temperature and humidity.
- Set up smart scene linkages with other Imou smart devices (e.g., IPC cameras, smart lights) as desired.

6. Operation
6.1 Reading the Display
The sensor features an LCD screen that displays current temperature and humidity levels. The temperature is shown in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F), and humidity is shown as a percentage (%).
6.2 Monitoring via Imou Life App
Once connected, you can view real-time temperature and humidity data directly from the Imou Life app on your smartphone. The app provides a quick overview of your home's air comfort indicators.

6.3 Threshold Alarms
If the temperature or humidity exceeds the preset alarm thresholds configured in the Imou Life app, the sensor will trigger an alarm. You will receive a push notification on your smartphone, allowing you to take immediate action.
6.4 Smart Scene Linkage
Leverage the smart scene linkage feature to automate actions based on temperature and humidity changes. For example, you can set up a scene to turn on a humidifier if humidity drops below a certain level, or activate a fan if the temperature rises.
6.5 History Record
The Imou cloud platform automatically records historical temperature and humidity data, allowing you to review trends and changes over time through the Imou Life app.
6.6 Battery Notifications
The sensor is equipped with a long-lasting battery. When the battery level is low, you will receive a notification via the Imou Life app, ensuring you can replace it before the device runs out of power.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the sensor's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as they may damage the device.
7.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery notification appears, replace the battery. Refer to Figure 3 for the location of the Battery Unit and Battery Cover. Use the specified battery type to ensure optimal performance and battery life.
8. Troubleshooting
- No display/Device not powering on: Check if the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
- Sensor not connecting to gateway: Ensure the gateway is powered on and within range. Try re-pairing the sensor by pressing the reset button and following the app instructions.
- Inaccurate readings: Ensure the sensor is placed in a location free from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect readings. Allow some time for the sensor to stabilize after placement.
- No app notifications: Check your smartphone's notification settings for the Imou Life app. Ensure the app has permission to send notifications and that alarm thresholds are correctly set.
9. User Tips
- For optimal accuracy, place the sensor away from windows, vents, and direct heat or cold sources.
- Regularly check the Imou Life app for historical data to identify patterns in your home's temperature and humidity.
- Utilize the smart scene linkage feature to create automated responses to environmental changes, enhancing comfort and energy efficiency.
- Keep an eye on battery notifications to ensure continuous monitoring.
