1. Introduction

The Wellue ER1 ECG Recorder is a portable electrocardiograph device designed for continuous heart rate and arrhythmia monitoring. It utilizes AI analysis to detect various abnormal heart events and provides detailed reports through its accompanying PC software. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your ER1 ECG Recorder.

4. Setup and First Use

4.1 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the charging base to a USB power source using the provided power/data cable.
  2. Place the Wellue ER1 ECG Recorder onto the charging base.
  3. The device will indicate charging status (e.g., LED indicator). A full charge provides up to 72 hours of battery life.

4.2 Installing PC Software (ECG Browser)

  1. Insert the provided USB drive into your computer.
  2. Locate and run the installer for the "ECG Browser" software.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. This software is essential for viewing detailed ECG waveforms and generating AI analysis reports.

4.3 Mobile App Installation (ViHealth)

  1. Search for "ViHealth" in your smartphone's App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Download and install the application. This app allows for real-time ECG/EKG tracking and heart rate monitoring.

5. Wearing Methods

The Wellue ER1 offers two comfortable wearing methods:

5.1 Wearing with Electrode Patches

This method provides strong anti-interference ability for signal acquisition.

  1. Attach the ER1 device securely to the electrode patches.
  2. Remove the protective backing from the electrode patches.
  3. Place the patches on your chest, approximately one palm below the left clavicle, ensuring good skin contact.

5.2 Wearing with Chest Strap

This method is suitable for long-term use and can help save on the cost of disposable electrodes.

  1. Attach the ER1 device to the chest strap.
  2. Position the monitor across the front of your chest, just below your pectoral (chest) muscles. Ensure the strap is snug but comfortable.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Automatic Power On/Off

The ER1 device features automatic power management:

  • The device automatically powers on when properly worn and detects skin contact.
  • A small blinking green light indicates that the measurement is in progress.
  • It stops working and powers off automatically when removed from the body.

6.2 Real-time Monitoring with Mobile App (ViHealth)

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
  2. Open the ViHealth app.
  3. Put your fingers on the electrodes of the device (or wear it as described above) to turn it on.
  4. The app should automatically connect to the device via Bluetooth.
  5. You can view your real-time ECG/EKG waveform and heart rate on the app's dashboard.
  6. The app allows recording ECG/EKG for up to 30 minutes for immediate review.

6.3 Recording and AI Analysis with PC Software (ECG Browser)

The ER1 can continuously monitor ECG/EKG for 24 hours, recording up to 100,000 ECG/EKG signals. The device can store 10 ECG/EKG records, with each record lasting up to 24 hours, totaling 30 hours of storage.

  1. Wear the device for the desired monitoring period (e.g., 24 hours).
  2. After recording, connect the ER1 device to your computer using the provided USB power/data cable.
  3. Open the "ECG Browser" PC software.
  4. The software will allow you to view the recorded ECG/EKG waveforms.
  5. Utilize the AI analysis feature within the software to generate a detailed report. The AI technology can diagnose 16 categories and over 104 kinds of abnormal ECG/EKG events.
  6. Reports can be saved as PDF files for sharing or printing.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Ensure the electrode contact points are clean and free of residue.

7.2 Storage

  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the device and accessories in their original packaging or a protective case when not in use.

7.3 Battery Care

  • Charge the device regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health.
  • Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Flexible Monitoring: The device allows you to manage your monitoring schedule and duration, enabling you to record when you experience symptoms or for routine checks without needing a doctor's appointment.
