1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient use of your PRITOM 8 Inch Tablet, Model L8. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device and keep it for future reference.

The PRITOM L8 is an 8-inch tablet running Android 13, equipped with 8GB (4+4 Expand) RAM, 64GB ROM (expandable up to 1TB via TF card), a 1280x800 IPS display, a 5000mAh battery, and dual cameras (2MP front, 8MP rear). It supports 2.4Ghz/5Ghz WiFi for stable and fast internet connectivity.

2. Safety Information

  • Do not expose the tablet to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Avoid dropping or subjecting the tablet to strong impacts.
  • Use only the provided charger and cable, or certified compatible accessories.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the tablet yourself. Refer to qualified service personnel.

6. Setup

6.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge your tablet. Connect the provided USB cable to the Type-C port on the tablet and the other end to the charger. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes about 4 hours.

6.2 Power On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power Switch button until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power Switch button until a power-off menu appears. Select "Power off".
  • To Restart: From the power-off menu, select "Restart".
  • To Lock/Unlock Screen: Briefly press the Power Switch button.

6.3 Initial Configuration

Upon first power-on, the tablet will guide you through the initial Android 13 setup process. This includes selecting your language, connecting to a Wi-Fi network, setting up your Google account, and configuring basic settings.

6.4 Expanding Storage

To expand storage, insert a TF (Micro SD) card into the Micro SD Card Slot. The tablet supports up to 1TB of external storage. Ensure the card is inserted correctly. Note that the memory card is not included and must be purchased separately.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Basic Navigation

The tablet features a capacitive touch screen for intuitive interaction:

  • Tap: Select an item or open an app.
  • Swipe: Scroll through lists or switch between screens.
  • Pinch: Zoom in or out on images and web pages.
  • Long Press: Access contextual menus or move icons.

7.2 Wi-Fi Connection

To connect to a Wi-Fi network:

  1. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi.
  2. Turn on Wi-Fi.
  3. Select your desired network from the list.
  4. Enter the password if prompted and tap "Connect".

The tablet supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi bands for stable and fast connections.

7.3 Using the Cameras

Your tablet is equipped with a 2MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera.

  • Open the "Camera" app.
  • Tap the camera icon to switch between front and rear cameras.
  • Tap the shutter button to take a photo or start/stop video recording.

7.4 Downloading Applications

  1. Open the "Play Store" app.
  2. Search for your desired app.
  3. Tap "Install" to download and install the app.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cleaning the Tablet

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the screen and body of the tablet. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8.2 Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Do not leave the tablet charging for extended periods after it's full.
  • Store the tablet in a cool, dry place if not used for a long time.

8.3 Software Updates

Periodically check for system updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Go to Settings > System > System update.

8.4 Storage Management

Regularly clear unnecessary files and uninstall unused apps to maintain performance. You can also move large files to an inserted TF card.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your tablet, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Tablet does not turn on: Ensure the tablet is charged. Connect the charger and wait for 10-15 minutes before attempting to power on again. If it still doesn't turn on, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to force a restart.
  • Tablet does not charge: Check if the charger and cable are properly connected. Try using a different compatible charger and cable. Ensure the charging port is clean and free of debris.
  • Apps are not responding: Close the problematic app and reopen it. If the issue persists, restart the tablet.
  • Tablet is not detected by computer: Ensure the USB cable is properly connected. Check the USB connection mode on the tablet (e.g., "File transfer" or "MTP").
  • Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled. Restart the tablet and your Wi-Fi router. Forget the network in settings and reconnect.
  • Insufficient storage space: Delete unnecessary files and apps. Clear the cache of apps regularly. Consider inserting a TF card to expand storage.
  • Battery drains quickly: Reduce screen brightness, close background apps, and disable unnecessary features like GPS or Bluetooth when not in use.

10. User Tips

  • Screen Protection: While the tablet features an IPS screen, consider adding a screen protector for added durability.
  • App Compatibility: The tablet supports Google Play Store, allowing access to a wide range of applications.
  • Storage Expansion: A Micro SD card can significantly increase your storage capacity for media and documents. Remember to purchase one separately as it's not included.
  • Battery Life: For optimal battery performance, avoid extreme temperatures and manage background applications.
  • No SIM Card Slot: This tablet is Wi-Fi only and does not support SIM cards for cellular data.
  • No Built-in GPS: This tablet does not have a built-in GPS function, so it cannot be used as a standalone navigation tool without an internet connection for map services.
