User Tips
- When pairing, ensure both 'Bluetooth Function' and 'Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl' are set to 'On' in your camera's network settings. The 'Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl' setting is crucial and often overlooked.
- Avoid vigorously shaking the grip tripod when a camera is mounted. While the grip can bear a weight of about 1kg, sudden or excessive force from shaking can exceed its structural limits.
- Always check your camera's firmware version against the compatibility list to ensure full functionality of the remote control features.
Troubleshooting
Remote Control Not Pairing or Connecting
- Check Battery: Ensure the CR2032 battery is correctly installed and has sufficient power.
- Camera Bluetooth Settings: Verify that both [Bluetooth Function] and [Bluetooth Rmt Ctrl] are set to [On] in your camera's Network settings.
- Re-attempt Pairing: Repeat the pairing process carefully, ensuring you hold the Shutter and '+' buttons on the remote for the required 7 seconds.
- Camera Compatibility: Confirm your camera model is listed as compatible and has any necessary firmware updates installed.
Remote Control Functions Not Working
- Remote Lock Switch: Ensure the LOCK switch on the side of the remote is slid down (unlocked position).
- Camera Mode: Some functions (e.g., video recording) may only work in specific camera modes. Ensure your camera is set to the appropriate mode.
- Lens Compatibility: Zoom control only works with Sony power zoom lenses. If you are using a manual zoom lens, this function will not operate.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the grip and remote. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery: If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the CR2032 battery to prevent leakage.
